fandom-jun-theme

Who can guess what this month's theme is? I have to sheepishly admit that I'm a life-long, HUGE fan of the Wizard of Oz! I love the magnets that Fandom of the Month send, but this month's Dorothy and Toto magnet (on the right), might be my favorite ever.

This is the back of the postcard (above). One thing you might notice about the postcard is that there is no information given about the items included. My experience so far with this subscription has been that the pieces they send are impossible to find online for sale, so the values listed below are guesses on my part.

Every month's goodies are usually all packaged in a little muslin bag with a graphic related to the theme.

Necklace - Value $15?

Wow! I wasn't sure what to call this necklace because it has about half the movie cast on it in silhouette. Nothing subtle here! This isn't something I personally would wear, but I think my little niece will like it.

fandom-jun-earrings

Dorothy-style Earrings - Value $10?

I will totally wear these earrings, on the other hand. They are super cute! I think it would be fun to wear them together and see if anyone notices.

Yellow Brick Road Bracelet - Value $22?

This cuff is so awesome! In addition to being all about the Yellow Brick Road, this reminds me of the cuffs Wonder Woman used to wear. Unfortunately, this cuff is a little small for me, so I think I will pass this along to one of my sons' friends.

Verdict: I think Fandom of the Month Club is great! I absolutely love Wizard of Oz, so this package was a lot of fun. The first time I received a package from them, it was for a fandom that I personally don't really belong to. I want to point out what Fandom OTM Club says on their website about this issue:

"If you are a person who would be devastated by receiving merchandise from a fandom you don't love, sadly this club is not for you. We hate turning people away, but we hate upsetting people even more!"

Very well said! It's the risk you run when you're a subscription box addict! In terms of value, I have no idea if my guesses are correct, but it seems like a great value for under $20 to me.

Anna,
Most of the jewelry is designed by the owner exclusively for Fandom boxes, so you will not find them online for sale.

I think this has to be the cutest unboxing post I’ve seen… Maybe it is because I’m a huge Wizard of Oz geek!
