So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist, Kelly, who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected ten items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! This month I decided to try everything she selected.

This packet was also included in my trunk.

This is a note from my stylist, Kelly. That's right, I'm finally taking the family to Yellowstone at the end of the month! Super excited! So I asked for pieces for that, plus some things for work. Let's see how she did!

This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep. There is also a reminder to provide feedback on their website or app about how well each item worked for me.

On the back of the invoice are instructions for returning the items I don't want to keep. I can drop my box back off at any UPS location, or I can schedule a free pickup through the Trunk Club app!

These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!

Twisty Turn Tee by Zella - Cost to keep $55

OK, I know this is a little spendy for a tee, but I love it! I actually cannot believe that I am wearing a light blue top that's not super fattening, it's a big problem I usually have. I also noticed it is really high quality, and I like the inside knot detail a lot!

'Hatha' High Waist Crop Leggings by Zella - Cost to keep $54

These leggings are super supportive! I love the way they are shaping but not too constricting. The only problem is...

... I think these sheer panels in the back are really stylish, but make the backs of my calves look even bigger. I'm so torn!

Off the Shoulder Blouse by Sejour - Cost to keep $79

This top might be my favorite piece in the box! I love the cotton blend material and how it hangs. It's thin, so it's not too blousy. It's the right length and cut, too. I didn't think I would like it because of the print, but I think the print is great!

Jersey Sharkbite Hem Tank Dress by Sejour - Cost to keep $108

I like the idea of this dress, but I don't think it's right for me. It's a thin cotton jersey, but the cut is off for my figure. It's a little high-waisted for my shape. Also, you can't really see it here, but the sides of my bra are pretty much exposed, and obviously I am not into that.

Helena Denim Jacket by Kut from the Kloth - Cost to keep $89

This is another strong contender for the favorite piece this month. I never thought I would love a white denim jacket, but here we are! It completely changes the whole look of the dress. I like the cut and proportions on me a lot. I also love the color! My only issue is that I don't know if I should spend so much on a jacket when it's about to get super hot here. It would be awesome for my trip out west, though...

Josephine Eyelet Embroidered Off the Shoulder Top by NYJD - Cost to keep $108

I am totally loving the season's embroidered details, but I don't think this top is right for me. The crisp cotton makes it just too blousy and boxy for me. I am not really into tops that add volume.

Verdict: This was another awesome package from Trunk Club! It was another mix of hits and misses, but wow, a white denim jacket! I love it! I got a lot of cool pieces this month. I am becoming a big fan of Trunk Club!

Love that dress and white jacket!! Having said that; go down a size in the jacket. I disagree with rolling the sleeves..this doesn’t solve the issue of the jacket being too big. A smaller size will complement the dress very nicely…and then, roll up those sleeves. 🙂 Also, look for a flirty little pair of black sandals.. Such a cute look on you!!! I also like the off the shoulder blouse…

I think you have some great pieces to choose from here. Try not to think of the items seasonally only. The reason these services send things “off season” is because that’s when they’re on sale (both wholesale to them and retail to you). I rarely buy things in the current season but rather add to my wardrobe throughout the year and then wait to wear things when they’re weather-appropriate. For our kids I couldnt buy very far in advance since they grow like weeds but once they started topping off, so to speak, I switched to mom’s shopping method and they’re totally on board (who doesn’t like buying bikinis in Jan?) I live in the desert with triple digit heat half the year but I still get a lot of use out of lightweight jackets. In summer they’re great for wearing in the office or out to dinner/shopping when you’re faced with arctic blast A/C. Casinos here in vegas are known for their North Pole-like air conditioning.

I second everything you said as I live in Vegas as well. It does crack me up to see down parkas in stores here but I wore a winter coat many times this last one. Buying out of season makes perfect sense!!

I loved all the same things you loved. Thank you for modeling. Roll the sleeves on the white denim, it will give it will give it a more finished look.

Connie

You look great in blue! I liked the white denim jacket but I think you may need to size down as it looked a little big. Have a great time in Yellowstone.

My polling does not work… 🙁

Blue is your color…! I agree, the white jacket could be a smaller size or roll up the sleeves?? to give it a cuff… You may need it for the evenings AND it goes with everything you got. The dress looks great and I like the fit…IF the bra shows, what you can do is get a sports bra (contrasting color or matching???) and if it shows its ok…looks “in” in my opinion…straps and all…

Kelly did a wonderful job of hooking you up with some very nice, comfy outfits…!
Have fun with your clothes and the trip !!!!!!

I love how with trunk club you can preview your trunk before they send it and request changes if something isn’t your style or out of your price range. Their app allows you to instant message your stylist to consult with so their selections match what you are looking for. I stopped stitch fix after only liking one out of four boxes and have been much happier with this! They have it together! I like how you can get several items (my first trunk has 7-8 items), only con is that there isn’t a discount for buying multiple things. But I’m happier with the selection and the customer service that really allows you to personalize it. I’ve tried stitch fix and stylogic and trunk club is the winner!

Loba

I think this was a really good box (except for that last top)!

I am loving that first blue top on you. Maybe it’s because it’s one of my favorite shades of blue. It maybe it’s that knot detail.

I have to speak about the leggings. I don’t feel like the second shot if them is truly a fair shot. Unless someone is laying on the grass looking straight in at your ankles this is not how others look at you. It’s a problem a lot if people have where we will zoom in on something we don’t like. I, for instance, have a scar on my face that feels like it dominates my face. Others who look at me apparently take my whole face in. They don’t zoom in in the scar. For what it’s worth those leggings look great on you in the first picture. I’m guessing they probably look pretty good from behind too. 😉 However, all that really matters is how you feel in it. So if the sheer panels make you feel less than beautiful – don’t keep them. I just wanted to offer some perspective. 🙂

Noelle

I agree…hadn’t read this until now….Loba has a great perspective on this….

Lee

I’m with Loba. Those leggings look good on you. Even from that angle I do not see anything wrong with your calves. They are just calves! Keep them if they feel good on.

Anna

Wow, thanks y’all! Maybe I will!

NANCY

Totally keep the twist turn top! Perfect 🙂

I’m loving the Sejour dress on you! I’ve found that, on dresses like this, I can have the shoulders taken up an inch or two and it solves the problem of the deep armholes. It may also raise the waistline just enough to make it more “empire” (although I admit I can barely see a waistline on the dress)

The Sejour blouse is fabulous on you – everything about it is perfect! Agree about the leggings – not sure what the point of sheer portion was supposed to be…

Another great review, Anna!

I live by Yellowstone, too-just a few miles away. You need layers for June. Warm stuff for mornings and evenings, then lighter stuff for afternoons-that t-shirt will be great. Make sure you have never sweatshirts, especially if you’re coming early June. I hope you have a great time. The baby animals are arriving daily!

Reply ButtonReply

Teisha

Thaat should say “umbrellas and sweatshirts”

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Wow thank you so much Teisha! I’m so excited! And keep your eyes open for my “preparing for Yellowstone ” outfits coming this month… I think I’ve told everyone who will listen about my trip – including the stylists! 🙂

AMH

That Off the Shoulder Blouse is great on you! The print reminds me a little of Lilly Pulitzer.

Thanks AMH!

Chelsea

I would totally keep the white jacket. It is adorable. Plus that you will need some warm things on your trip. I love a few hours from the park and it will still be chilly there in a month especially mornings and evenings

Anna

Thanks Chelsea! It will be hot as a firecracker here in Atlanta by then, so I am totally excited!!!
