This month's theme is "Mythical." The inside of this info card has a visual list of all the items.

Akibento Monthly Pin - Value $1.00?

Every Akibento box comes with a little pin to suit the theme. I love that this one features chibi versions of "mythical" critters (especially Luna, my fave)!

Exclusive Akibento Mythical T-Shirt - Value $20.99?

I couldn't find this shirt on the Akibento online shop, so I linked to a previous exclusive design to help estimate value. I love this design! Akibento doesn't do the best job of identifying what anime or characters are being featured on each item, but I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be Megumin from KonoSuba. The shirt is pretty good quality—the knit is nice and sturdy and the graphic looks as nice as any graphic tee you'd get in a store. This isn't one of those plastic-y, melted-on designs. It's going to hold up really well, I think.

Exclusive Akibento Bizarre Sunglasses - Value $12.00?

I think this is supposed to be a nod to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The glasses themselves are relatively simple, unassuming quality—they feel like the kind of sunglasses I'd pick up at a drug store in a pinch, and since they aren't listed online, I just guessed at how much I'd expect to pay for them above. The patterns on the arms are cute (there are little anchors, stars, hearts, and Js), and I like the shape of the sunglasses. The fact that they come with a drawstring bag for storage is nice, too, though I can't say I'll use it again.

Tamashi Buddies Sailor Mars Figurine - Value $10.99

Oh. My. Gosh. I am GIDDY about getting this adorable Sailor Mars figurine in this box! Sailor Moon was the gateway show that introduced me to the magic of anime, so I'll always have a soft spot for it in my heart. And Sailor Mars was one of the coolest characters—I loved her purple-tinted hair and fiery personality. This figurine, which is around 4 inches tall, looks awesome posed in front of her "glowing" symbol.

Exclusive Akibento Demon Cat Solar Bobble Head - Value $10.00?

I checked out the cost of solar bobble heads, and most of them fall around $8.00-$13.00—I estimated that this exclusive design is about $10.00. I like this pudgy kitty and its smiley expression (you might've also gotten a version with a more sinister grin). Does anyone know what series this cat is from, or whether it's just an Akibento creation? I can't identify this cutey off the top of my head...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventures Stickers, Set of 5 - Value $3.00?

This is another guesstimate since I can't find these (2-ish inch tall) stickers on the Akibento site right now. Apparently, the type of stickers varies by box. I kind of wish I had gotten the Sailor Moon stickers, but these designs are pretty cool. I love the cute take on Iggy the dog!

Bonus Exclusive Akibento RuiRiu Sticker - Value $1.99?

I linked to another similar sticker above to give an idea of value. This is the one thing I don't really "get" with Akibento—they always include a sticker or other item themed around their featured YouTuber. Maybe it's just that I'm not totally into the YouTube universe, but I feel weird having a sticker for a random real person... It's a nice quality, bigger sticker. It's just not my thing.

Verdict: This was a cute Akibento box! The sunglasses and the bonus sticker were really the only misses for me. Everything else was really cute and nice quality. I got about $60.00 of product, based on my estimates, for $29.99 (the price of the box plus shipping). And I was happy that I could recognize most of the series featured in these products. I really wish they'd be more specific about labeling what/who these designs depict because there have definitely been boxes where I was either unsure or totally in the dark about the references!

I am a current subscriber of the Akibento box and frankly, there are some months that are real hit or misses for me. I get a T-Shirt every month, that I really wish I could choose the neckline of since I’m paying 29.99 for the box each month. I always get some little pin that I don’t want, and stickers like I’m five years old. Granted, I used the stickers to pin up my cool art from OwlCrate, but when I ran out of room, I’m like, “Now what do I use these for?” Other than the figurines and the shirt, I really don’t get anything I’m jumping for joy about. One box I didn’t even get one of the items I was supposed to get, not that I wanted it anyway.

Most of the boxes I really like. Also, I bought a t-shirt from the store and still haven’t received it. So, I don’t know what is up with that.

If you’re into stickers, pins, figurines, and basically random anime merch then this box is for you. But if you’re looking for solid collector’s items, they only show up in a few different boxes. My favorite was my scissor necklace from the anime Kill La Kill, I think it was the August Box. I really liked that.

For the price, it is a good deal, but for me there is more that I give away than actually use. I’ve gotten two figurines out of five boxes. Sailor Jupiter and Naruto. I haven’t gotten any other figurines.
