Each box comes with a booklet that tells you more about the products included with tips on how to use them.

Now, on to the items!

Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm Bb Cream - Size? Value $5?

I can't find any sizing info on this package, so I'm estimating on value. (It's a good size, though, I'm guessing about half the size of your standard full-size BB balm.)

The formula isn't a great fit for me, though. It's light-coverage, but it surprisingly really highlighted my pores! (Swatched in lower photo.)

Lord & Berry Magic Brow in Brunette- .85 g Value $19?

Again, I'm estimating a bit on the value since the full-size version includes a useful spoolie on one side.

This is a slightly-warm brown shade with ideal pigment for an eyebrow pencil. (Depending on how much pressure you apply, you can get different color-intensity.)

Here it is swatched above the BB Cream:

Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk - 1.35 oz Value $7.80

(Scents will vary for subscribers. Good to know for swaps - this item has an inner foil seal.)

This milky formula is lightweight - it absorbs much quicker than a body butter. I love lemon and basil, so I was expecting to extra love this, but the scent isn't exactly what I was hoping for. I still like it, though!

Lottie London Cherry Pie Balm Ball - FULL SIZE! Value $6.40

(Flavors will vary for subscribers.)

Confession - when I first saw this I thought, "Oooh! A UK version of the Beauty Blender!" Then, I opened it, touched it, and quickly learned this is a lip balm. (But then who knows, maybe there will be a YouTube makeup tutorial soon showing you how to apply foundation with a lip balm!)

Lesson learned: Read info booklet first, then start going through the items!

This lip balm is paraben-free, gluten-free, and vegan. Plus the cherry flavor reminds me of the classic Chapstick cherry flavor of my youth!

Mane ‘n Tail Conditioner - 2 oz Value $1

Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo - 2 oz Value $1

OK, so first, I should say props to Look Fantastic to including both the shampoo and conditioner. (Sometimes boxes only send conditioner OR shampoo.)

This brand? My first thought when I saw it was, "Is this horse shampoo?" And it turns out, I believe this company was originally making horse shampoo, and it turned into a beauty cult classic that is popular with humans, too! The branding/packaging isn't for me, but I can't fault a company for sticking with what works!

I'm not particularly in love with the scent, but both formulas worked fine for me.

Gatineau Gentle Silk Cleanser 1.6 oz Value $5

(Subscribers will either receive this or the Gatineau Toner.)

This formula is a milky cleanser that didn't really lather, but still cleansed my skin, and didn't strip it of any oils. My only issue with it is the scent. It's a strong, powdery scent, and for a "gentle" cleanser, I'm hoping for ideally no scent, or maybe a subtle scent.

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $50 - I think that's good for a $22 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

This month's box wasn't too much of a hit for me, though. The eyebrow pencil is fantastic though, and the lip balm was a nice surprise!

I used to purchase Main ‘n Tail at Southern States Feed stores back in the 1980’s… I guess that beauty hack is still going strong 30 years later… LOL

Out of the past twelve boxes I have gotten from Look Fantastic this one is the most dissapointing. But 11 out of 12 is actually a good run and I still found a couple of new products this time. But that shampoo, I remember from the late 1970s.

Is the rumour true that LF or The Hut Group took over Glossybox? If so, I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

This is one of the worst subs ever I can’t wait to my year is up so I can unsubscribe I haven’t even gotten my box yet and today is 20 August I’ve noticed for the last three months my box has been coming later and later..

This was my least favorite box from them all year — the brow pencil reads way too reddish orange on me, so I can’t use it. All of the other items were just meh for me. Disappointing box.

I originally found out about Mane and Tail from the dance community in the 90’s when you still had to buy it at a feed store in a giant bottle. It was used primarily for horses. I had very long hair and it made my hair silky and shiny. I loved it. I laughed when I started seeing it in the beauty departments. I was surprised to find it in this box though.

I usually like this box, and I LOVE the lip balm this month. I also like the toner all right. The rest was just a miss for me, but not every month can be a home run so I’ll just wait and see how next month goes.

I was just curious about the product and so went to the mane and tail website and their products are dog and cat safe. So it can be used on pets in addition to horses and humans.

This is one of my favorite boxes from LF! I love everything! The Lottie is my new fave lip balm, the korres & Gatineau are amazing! The mane & tale is just a bonus to me!

This was the worst Look Fantastic box I ever received. I’m so disappointed, as I usually love Look Fantastic and recommend this box to everyone..

Sadly, this month was a miss for me as well. I like the balm, and the lotion is alright. But everything else was kind of like the B-team. I find the mane n tail amusing, because this was the shampoo EVERYONE used growing up, and I was surprised the amount of hate it got from the spoiler comments.

JuJu

Well, why does it surprise you that people don’t like receiving a super-cheap humdrum item like that in a fairly expensive subscription?

ac

Lol!! This is NOT an expensive subscription

This is definitely my least favorite box so far (been subbing for almost a year). I have heard good things about that shampoo/conditioner, so maybe I’ll give it a try instead of swapping it. I’ve been trying to grow my hair out and it’s been such a slow process, maybe this will help!

Target has sent that shampoo in its beauty boxes before. It’s decent for the price.

I can’t wait to be done with this sub. Every month is underwhelming, especially for the cost.

svetlana

You can cancel it without waiting till the end of your sub term. I believe you have to send them email with cancellation request within 7 days after your box shipped. I signed up for 6 months but canceled after three

The shampoo and conditioner have been around for years. I used it 15 + years ago. It’s great for preventing end breakagebif you are trying to grow out your hair. It prettt inexpensive and works. It’s interesting that a beauty box in Europe picked up on something that is more of a midwestern US country girl in 1999 beauty hack. Never the less it’s a great product to try, and I suspect there will be a lot positive response to it.

This month was supposed to be a different country of origin for each item. This British box picked Mane & Tail as the American representative. I’ve actually never tried it, so I’m looking forward to giving it a shot tomorrow!

JuJu

Even from this mildly worded review it looks like every single item this month was a miss. 🙂

Pretty much. I still haven’t sub’ed to them because I’m waiting for them to return to their former glory.
