The Subscription Box: FabFitFun Box

Ships to: US and Canada

Check out all of my FabFitFun Box reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

FabFitFun sends out a mini mag in each box. It details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers.

Now, time for the items!

Spongellé Body Wash Infused Buffer in French Lavender - Value $16

This is one of my favorite subscription box beauty discoveries!

If you aren’t familiar with Spongelle, you are in for a treat! It infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well! (And it should last for at least 14 uses!)

Summer & Rose Foldover Clutch in Black - Value $68

(FYI - if you want this clutch in Burgundy instead, check out the FabFitFun Starter Box.)

This clutch measures 10 X 12 inches opened up. Here it is with some items to give you a better sense of scale:

This is a vegan leather clutch, with a black velvet stripe and a gold metal zipper accent. Black and gold are my go-to colors, and I like the velvet addition - it feels very on trend for fall!

Sterling Forever Wishbone Necklace - Value $58

This delicate little necklace is rhodium plated brass and measures about 16 inches long. Here it is on:

I'm not normally a silver jewelry person, but this seems very appropriate for Thanksgiving!

RealHer Lip Kit in Deep Red - Value $48

This set includes a Matte Liquid Lipstick, Lip Plumping Lip Gloss, and a Lip Liner.

The lip gloss provides excellent pigment and shine (and impressive staying power for a gloss), but it is a tad sticky.

I'm all about lip liner + liquid lipstick these days, so this set is right up my alley.

(This set was originally sampled in the Spring FabFitFun Box.)

The matte lipstick is also very impressive with staying power – it lasted all day for me.

Here are all the shades swatched:

(Lip liner, lip gloss, liquid lipstick.)

Marrakesh X Leave-In Treatment & Detangler - Value $18

I fell in love with the Marrakesh hail oil thanks to FabFitFun (it smells SO good and it doesn't weigh down your hair), and this leave-in treatment is an even lighter version! It smells just as good, and you only need a few spritzes to add moisture to your hair.

Purlisse Sheet Mask - Value $8

Note - the spoilers for this box originally made it look like an entire pack of masks would be included, but I only received one. I'm going to reach out to FabFitFun to verify how many masks should be in the box, but if you are thinking of subscribing, I'd assume it's only one mask.

UPDATE: All boxes should include the full set of masks - retail value $36! If you only get one mask, reach out to FabFitFun customer care so they can send you the full set. (Thanks, Lindsey, for letting us know!)

The mask itself is GREAT! Usually, I prefer my masks unscented, but this is the first one where I really enjoyed the scent! The Green Tea + Ginger is so soothing - it pairs perfectly with the mask.

Anderson Lilley Body Oil - Value $38

This is a lightweight dry oil spray that you can use on your face, body, or hair. It has a fresh, clean, fragrance, and the oil gave my skin an almost shimmery glow. (There's no shimmer in the formula, it just gives your skin a beautiful sheen!)

MYTAGALONGS Skipping rope - Value $15

This jump rope is pretty compact so it's good for travel.

And you can adjust the length of the rope to get the perfect fit for your height.

Himalayan Pink Salt Kit - Value $26

How beautiful is this set? I already have one thanks to Summer FabFitFun box, and it looks great on my kitchen counter.

You use the grater to produce salt flakes that are great for finishing a dish.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $295! I think this is a fabulous Editor's Box - they included some of the most popular items from past boxes and some brand new items, too. It's a good mix!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes. If you sign up and use coupon code MSA10 this will be your first box! (If you sign up with coupon code START your first box will be the $19.99 Starter Box.)

Coupon –  Use coupon code MSA10 to save $10 and get this box for only $39.99

Value Breakdown: At $39.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Clutch: $9.22
  • Spongelle: $2.17
  • Necklace: $7.86
  • Lip Kit: $6.50

On the order form, it’s saying the first box will be the Winter Box. Does this mean the Editor’s Box is sold out?

Joyce

I am very disappointed. I ordered this box and initially it said I would get this one and now they have changed it to the winter box. I wanted the clutch in the box and that was why I picked this one and now it looks like I wont be able to get it Very Disappointed.

Salina

I got the clutch and I am not a huge fan of it. I wish you lived close I would sale it to you.

Liz Cadman

Looks like the Editor’s Box has sold out and the Winter Box is now the first box you would receive if you sign up. Hope that helps!

Oh man, I am sad. I wanted almost everything in it. On the plus side, I’ll hold onto my money for a little while. 😀 I’ll wait to see what the winter box looks like.

Megan

Why didn’t they follow with the original picture and send 6 masks instead of one?

Ummm okay why the hell did they originally post the picture with 6 face masks and we now only get one?

Cindy

I kind of want this box. But it really irks me that the silver necklace is not silver. I could buy this necklace in silver for the price they attribute to it.

Undecided…..

If I get the starter box right now, will I also be billed for and receive the fall box? Or would the next box be winter’s?

Liz Cadman

Your next box will be the winter box. (Fall has sold out). Hope that helps! 🙂

I bought four for Christmas gifts – for non-subscribers it’s actually one of the best editor’s boxes – really rounded out! So my nanny, mother in law and besties are covered

Dana

Could you pick when it’s delivered I don’t want them to get it weeks before or after Christmas ?

That clutch is available at Nordstrom on clearance for about $12

Analy

Thank you! Already bought! 🙂

Do you mean this exact clutch? I checked Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack online and they don’t have Summer and Rose bags.

AnninVA

I just looked and you are right. The BP brand bags are very similar. They could be the same item produced under a different brand.

Lindsey

Liz,

I had the same issue with the face mask. The magazine included in the box shows an MSRP of $36, which is the price of a box on the Purlisse website. A single mask is only $8.

I reached out to FFF and was told that there should of been a whole box. They are mailing me a box of them.

Thank you so much for letting us know! That’s so great to hear! I will update the review with that info! 🙂

Liz,
Have you heard anything about the build your own box pop-up they are doing in Los Angeles this coming weekend? My sister and I want to go, but we are regular subscribers, so we don’t want to attend and build a box if it will be nothing but repeat/old products.

Less interested in this now that I’ve seen the review (which is rare, I almost always want boxes more after reading the review). I was expecting the necklace to be sterling silver, the clutch to be leather and more than one mask. Just as well, I didn’t really need it anyway.

LoriW.

I find it funny that a company called Sterling Forever has a necklace that’s rhodium covered brass. In the original spoilers, they have the box and 6 face masks. I’ll be pretty disappointed with only 1.
