The first thing you'll see it a card with an illustration of the month's theme. This time it's UNICORNS! Unicorns have been an obsession for women young and old alike since the beginning of time. Probably some men too. These magical beasts just have so much mystery attached to them, that they are undeniably mystical. The flipside gives you FotMC's email, Instagram handle, and hashtag.
I Believe in Unicorns Magnet
Each month, you'll get a magnet from Fandom of the Month Club. Ever since I laid eyes on this one, I've had that song "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate in my head. "I BELIEVE IN UNICORNS! WHERE YOU FROM, YOU SEXY THING?"
Unicorn Pouch
Every Fandom of the Month Club comes with a little pouch that everything comes in, featuring the theme. This illustration is in a watercolor style with a unicorn relaxing in front of, what else, but a rainbow! They go hand in hand. The pouch measures five and a half inches wide by four and a half inches tall and has a zipper closure and a little loop to carry it by. This would be a great way to gift an item if you were going to pass it along to a friend!
Iron-on Unicorn Patch
This patch is HUGE! It's about four and a half inches squared, which is a lot bigger than most of the patches I receive from subscription boxes. Her horn kind of reminds me of candy corn with the white and orange stripes. Hehe. This is perfect for a jean jacket but may have to go somewhere other than above the breast pocket, due to its size. Since it's an iron-on, no sewing is required. Yay!
Unicorn Horn Keychain
There is something about pompom keychains that I just love for some reason. When paired with a glittery pastel plastic unicorn horn, how can you go wrong? The colors used are really pleasing and magical. I will definitely be holding on to this keychain for a set of spare keys to my house! The horn is a little under three inches, so it'll be easy to find in your bag.
Velvet Unicorn Choker
This choker is really quite cute.Unfortunately, mine was a little dirty on one side, but I'll be honest when I tell you I am not a choker kind of gal anyhow. This pink velvety ribbon has a wee uni dangling from it, with an ever more wee bead as well. Too precious.
Glittery Unicorn Earrings
These are simple silver and glitter unicorn head studs to pop in your pierced lobes. Too bad the camera can't catch how they sparkle when they move! They're a little over a half of an inch tall, so you can go incognito with your love of unicorns while sporting these.
Unicorn Ring
This ring is really fun and I kinda love it! It's gold a plated metal with an enamel paint that makes the details of the pink-maned unicorn. It's adjustable, so you just have to cinch the tail further or closer from the head to get the right fit. I like that it has a good weight to it and is sort of a 3D ring that stands tall off of your finger! I don't think anyone would mess with me while wearing this. What's that saying? If you mess with the unicorn, you get the horn?
Verdict: This was my first Fandom of the Month Club experience, and it was a magical one. I thought all 6 of the items were super cute and a pretty decent quality, especially for the price of the box ($16.75 for month-to-month after shipping). The keychain and patch were definitely my faves, but the other things will probably get gifted to another unicorn-loving pal!
