Akibento “Beast” Box January 2018 Review
This month's theme is "Beast".
Akibento Monthly Pin - Retail Value $1.00
Every Akibento box comes with a little 1-inch pin to suit the theme.
Exclusive Akibento T-Shirt - Estimated Value $25.00
I couldn't find this shirt on the Akibento online shop, but most of their tees range between $25.00-$30.00. I can't tell what character this is supposed to be! The shirt has some rather noir vibes, though, doesn't it?
Pokemon Water Bottle - Retail Value $12.99
YESSSS. Pokemon rules. It's probably the first anime I ever watched. This 25 oz. water bottle has Charizard, Charmeleon, and Charmander on it, plus a bright red cap. According to the info card, subscribers would get one of three different styles featuring different Pokemon and their evolutions.
Book of Friends Notebook - Retail Value $9.99
This notebook is just like the one in Natsume's Book of Friends! Cute! It has a hard cover and an elastic band to hold it shut. The best part is that, unlike Natsume's book, this one is empty inside, with blank pages ready for notes, doodles, and more.
Book of Friends Key Cap - Retail Value $6.99
Speaking of Natsume's Book of Friends, check out this adorable Madara keycap! It's made from a silicone-like plastic that's just a tiny bit squishy. I can't wait to slip my house key through this cute accessory!
Inuyasha Character Keychain - Retail Value $6.99
According to the info card, the Inuyasha keychain you get is random. I ended up with Miroku! This keychain has a good bit of detail for only being a few inches long! (Though his ankles look a bit swollen... hehe...) I like that he's in a bit of an action pose, swinging his staff to the side!
Digimon Domez Mystery Figure - Retail Value $9.99
Heck yes, Digimon! I always forget about this show, despite the hours and hours of it that I watched when I was younger. I got Tentomon in my pack! I like that it looks like he's inside a little terrarium-esque display case. I would've loved to have gotten Patomon (the cutest ever), but I guess I'll just have to get some more blind boxes for myself!
Exclusive Akibento Bow Tie - Retail Value $15.99
This black and white bowtie is pretty darn cool! You don't have to tie it yourself, either, which is super convenient—you just hook the end of the strap onto the bow. I think the design is inspired by Inuyasha... Let me know if you can tell better than I!
The Verdict: This was a really fun box, as it played into some of my favorite animes from childhood. I liked the variety of goodies and was happy with the quality, too. Super fun!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Sign up by the 19th of this month to get the upcoming box!

- Water bottle - $4.37
- Notebook - $3.36
