FabFitFun sends out a mini mag in each box. It details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers.

Every quarter, FabFitFun partners with a different charity, and for this box, the charity is Girl Rising.

Now, time for the items!

(There are a lot of pictures in this review because there are SO many items! And I'm going to show you all variants at the end of the review, too!)

Rachel Pally Reversible Clutch in Paradise - Retail Value $60

This item is available in 3 different colors. If you are a FabFitFun select member (annual subscriber) you were able to select your color choice. If you sign up for this box now, FabFitFun will pick the color for you.

This clutch measures 10.25″ across, 6.5″ tall when folded and 11.75″ tall when unfolded.

The teal side is made of vegan leather and the print is canvas.

It's lined with polyester and is lead-free.

And there's a pocket inside!

This clutch fits a phone, keys, hand sanitizer, and lip balm well without looking bulky.

And if you aren't a fan of clutches, I think this would also work well as a makeup bag, or a bag with all your essentials in a larger beach bag, etc. I absolutely love the print and color of this bag, and plan on rocking it as a clutch!

Anderson Lilley Sunset Collection Candle in Fresh Linen – Retail Value $45

This item is available in three different scents. If you are a FabFitFun select member (annual subscriber) you were able to select your scent. If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the fragrance for you.

My favorite part of this candle? The copper vessel! I love the modern lines - it's already on display in my living room! (And when the candle is gone, it's great to reuse as a pen/pencil holder, planter, etc.

The candle is 8 ounces, a soy wax blend, with a lead-free cotton wick. The fresh linen scent has notes of Mandarin Orange, Kaffir Lime, Clover, and White Tea. It's fresh, clean, and slightly floral.

Free People Understated Leather Eyemask – Retail Value $40

All subscribers will receive one of three colors. Colors will be randomly selected. (I'll show you all the options at the end of the review!)

This is a vegan leather sleep mask filled with a removable cooling insert. The opposite side is a soft fabric so it's comfortable to wear:

And that strap is adjustable so you can get the perfect fit. Here is a closer look at the metallic stars:

And here is the removable cooling insert that you can pop in the fridge:

(Shown on the grey version.)

I like this mask as both an eye mask for sleeping and travel, and for a spa-at-home type of experience with the cooling insert. The mask is large, so it completely blocked out light for me, too. (Plus, the pastel colors with metallic stars are so cute!)

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion - Retail Value $40

All subscribers will receive this item.

This is an oil-free moisturizer, designed to help refine the appearance of pores and help prevent blemishes. It's paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free, too!

Normally when I try a skincare product, I can comment on if it is gentle on my skin, how quickly it absorbs, etc, but can't say much about how it works beyond that. But in this case, it is different! I could actually feel that my skin felt softer and smoother immediately after applying it. (And it's gentle on my skin and absorbed almost instantly, too!)

Physique 57 Massage Roller - Retail Value $20

All subscribers will receive one of four colors. Colors will be randomly selected. (I'll show you all the options at the end of the review!)

This massage roller has foam flexible grips so it is easy to hold. I especially liked using this tool on my thighs. I have been using this cellulite massager on my legs every day, but this tool is definitely an upgrade. (I know this isn't specifically designed for cellulite, but if I get benefits there while I'm working on muscles, that's fine by me!)

Dermelect Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler - Retail Value $18

All subscribers will receive this item.

I know this is called "Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler," but I think it deserves a more exciting name - this polish is awesome. It's designed to help fix the appearance of nail ridges, yellow stains, and discoloration as a base coat. I say no other nail polish needed! I think this is perfect for anyone who wants a polished no-polish look.

It adds a glossy finish to your nails, and there's this hint of a holographic shimmer. Here it is on:

This is my new go-to polish for nude look nails!

ISH Beauty Lip Statement Palette – Retail Value $42

All subscribers will receive this item.

The pigment is great throughout the palette, and the formulas are moisturizing and creamy.

I have to confess, I'm not one to usually change up my lip color, but I was happy to see that the far right, middle row color is very close to my regular lip color. But just different enough that I could tell myself I was trying new things!

Next step - trying out blending one or two of these colors together!

Here are all the shades swatched:

Next up, we have the Choice items. If you aren't familiar, every season, FabFitFun allows subscribers to pick their choice between different items to customize their box!

Ettika Day Dreamer Tassel Earrings - Retail Value $58

This is the Jewelry Choice item. All subscribers had the opportunity to pick between these earrings or Maya Brenner Designs Love Bracelet ($65). If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the jewelry item for you.

Here is Anna modeling these earrings for us:

These earrings are 18kt gold plated, with cotton thread, brass caps, alloy and surgical steel posts, and they are E-coated to prevent discoloration.

(I'll model the bracelet for you at the end of the review.)

KNC Beauty Lip Masks - Set of 5 Value $25

This is the Beauty Choice item. All subscribers had the opportunity to pick between these lip masks or the KORRES Guava Body Cream ($24 Value). If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the beauty item for you.

These collagen lip masks are all-natural and designed to help moisturize and plump your lips. (If you haven't tried these before, imagine putting those undereye gel masks on your lips - it's pretty similar.)

I found that these left my lips looking and feeling hydrated (and thus, a bit plumper), and the subtle tingly feeling I had while wearing it wasn't irritating, but it was hard to keep the lip mask from sliding off. I'd recommend laying down while you are using these for the 20 minutes. (And maybe throw on the chilled eye mask, too!)

Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Polish – 1 oz. Sponsored Bonus Item

I sampled this before thanks to Target Beauty Box and I am a fan!

It’s a creamy scrub made with crushed Macadamia nuts, so it’s very gentle on your skin, and the scent was fresh, too. If you like a light and gentle scrub that doesn’t leave your skin oily, I recommend it.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $348! As always, I'm so impressed with how many items FabFitFun delivers for $49.99. And now that I have the whole box in front of me - not just the spoilers, I feel like this box has two themes: part treat-your-self spa day at home, part going-out and looking fab! I love the prints/designs on the clutch and eye mask, and there are so many great beauty items in this box, too. (The un-spoiled Murad + nail polish were two surprise major wins for me!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of today, 2/20, yes!

CouponUse coupon code MSA10 to get this box for only $39.99!

Value Breakdown: At $49.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Candle: $6.46
  • Eye Mask: $5.75
  • Lip Palette: $6.03

Here are the other two clutch designs:

And here I am modeling it to give you a better sense of scale:

Here are the other massage roller colors;

Here are the other eye mask colors:

And here are the other Choice options:

Korres Guava Body Butter - 125 ml Value $24

(Subscribers could pick between this and the lip masks.)

This is an ingredient-conscious, rich, body butter that smells like all things tropical. It isn't greasy at all, and I'm just obsessed with the scent. I highly recommend this if you like tropical, beachy scents.

Maya Brenner Designs LOVE Bracelet - Retail Value $65

(Subscribers could pick between this and the earrings.)

This bracelet is made of Stainless steel and rose-plated. (Rose gold version below.) It's 6 inches long, with an additional 1-inch extender. And like the earrings, the bracelet is E-coated to prevent discoloration.

I love delicate jewelry, so this bracelet is perfect for me. Here it is on:

If you spend most of your day at your computer like I do, a lot of bracelets can get in the way when you're typing. But this one is so dainty I forgot I was wearing it! (It's on the 6-inch length on my wrist.)

And here it is in rose gold:

Ok, that's it! Thanks if you stuck with me the whole way through! Let me know what you think of all the options!

I loved my box! HATED the orange clutch I got, but that was my only issue! My candle didn’t ship, but they included a nice note saying they will ship it as soon as it comes in. They didn’t want to delay my box anymore. (Just in case some of y’all are wondering why your box hasn’t shipped yet.) I will use everything else in the box. (Even the lip kit that I will gift, haha!)

I just got my box in the mail today. I got the orange clutch, which I think is really cute. I opted for the earrings and the lotion. The earrings are worth about $5 as far as quality of materials. There is absolutely no way these retail for $58. I think they’re cute, but c’mon. This is cheap metal and embroidery floss. I could get these at Charming Charlie/Claire’s/Icing. I like everything else in the box. My husband and I took turns massaging out knots in our arms and shoulders with the roller. I LOVE the sleep mask. I work nights and it is going to come in very handy. The murad, nail polish, and body butter will all get used. I don’t usually use lip palettes. I might gift it. I added on a Luv AJ ring. It looks adorable, but it’s adjustable, which just really cheapens it for me. I’m glad it only cost me $19.

This wasn’t my most favorite of all time FFF box, but I’m still pleased with the value and the majority of the items I received.

This box was everything for me. This was my last box in my annual subscription and it made me decide to renew — my favorite out of the past 3 other boxes because everything is practical. An oil-free moisturizer? Pleases most skin types and is non-comogenic. Yes. Eye mask with a cooling gel pack? Sign me up. A nail polish that nourishes and just adds a subtle shine? Effortless for spring. I thought I’d hate the bracelet (the fringe earrings were a big no for me), but it’s so dainty that it’s gorgeous. The lip masks were great and I even loved the little Dove scrub sample. Everything screamed renewal to me — a massager for tired muscles from cold winter weather. The clutch is the only item I’m parting with because I have too many, but it’ll make a lovely gift. The lip palette can either be played down or jazzed up. I really feel like this was well-rounded and I loved it so much more in person than online. I need another!

I just received this box. It was my first box received. I am really disappointed. It came with a really weird, HUGE hat. It looks like a “Carl from The Walking Dead” hat. It’s a heavy felt material. Definitely not SPRING. I didn’t realize I could pick the look of some items and I am guessing, I received the items that were left over. The clutch is a weird tropical print. The earrings were peach tassels. I don’t know. Not sure if I will give this another try. I picked the “add on” hammer. It is VERY thin. It’s like they think that because you are a woman, you need a dainty hammer. Ah well, such is life.

Reply ButtonReply

Redhed36

That is so weird. Where did the hat and hammer come from… Those were not options. I don’t recall seeing a hammer in the add-on section. Did you contact them? You should have received an assortment of what’s in this review. You should receive an email when it’s time to customize your box and choose add-on’s (if you want them).

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

I don’t know if it is because I got two boxes. I ordered the Spring Box and the “Mystery Bundle” for spring. The hammer was an add on, but I didn’t realize it would be so small. The hat however, is HUGE and really heavy.

Sharalyn

Not my favorite FFF box ever, but I always love their boxes. For the money, you can’t beat it. Do I love everything? No. But I LOVED the bracelet. I gave it to my 16 year old granddaughter for her birthday, and she loved it. So delicate and pretty. I’ll use the Murad, and I got the body butter. The roller is nice. Those products alone are more than worth the cost of the box. So what if I don’t use the clutch, eye mask, lip product, or candle. I can always gift them. FFF is by far my favorite box. (Have you all wore your poncho as much as I have? Love it)

Kitty

Nightshift nurse that’d love to take the sleep mask off your hands if you don’t want it! :] My swaps profile isn’t working right now!

Reply ButtonReply

Jillian

I’m a night shift RT and I was STOKED for that mask! The cooling gel pack is a wonderful touch.

Reply ButtonReply

Sam

This was my first FFF box and it was so disappointing… lip palettes are so inconvenient and the earrings felt so incredibly cheap… The prices of everything in the box is so inflated that I feel like it was somewhat of a rip off to tell customers that you get appx $300 worth of product. $58 for cheap feeling cotton earrings. $45 for a tiny candle (lol are you kidding me). The skin care, the bag, and the massage roller were nice but they don’t make it worth $50 for me. I might resubscribe but only if I can see something in the spoilers first that might make it worth it.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

I fully admit that it’s my own fault and I should always read the fine print prior to doing anything online. I had cancelled my subscription last year (it was seasonal) because I was never wowed by the FFF box and aside from the occasional add-on product that I could choose I found myself never using the items. Well, I clicked reactivate for some strange reason last month (did I want to give it another chance?). Little did I know that as soon as you hit the reactivate button your credit card, which remains on file by the way, is automatically charged. I looked at the spoilers, looked at the add-on items, and decided this box wasn’t for me and cancelled again. So you can imagine my surprise when I got the email stating my box was on its way. A FFF rep confirmed the automatic charge process when I called to inquire. Again, my fault entirely and I should have known better….

Needless to say, I received my box yesterday of products I would have never spent money on, with the exception of possibly the nail product. I know Murad and can definitely say they make very good skin care products. Unfortunately my skin is not the same skin as it was 12 years ago when I used this face lotion so while I will use it from time to time it will never become my daily face lotion.

How in the world does FFF assign monetary value to their products? There is absolutely no way the earrings (embroidery floss and plastic, broken on arrival) – are $58 (made in China as well, not locally as I would have hoped). I’ve contacted customer service about getting a replacement because I might be able to give them to my 13 year old niece as these are more age appropriate for her, to me they are more like $6.99 at the drugstore.

Anyway, I think for a younger individual it’s a good box. I’m just more irritated by the fact that I missed the bright red alert box that popped up saying something along the lines of, “Are you sure you want to reactivate? Your account will be charged immediately!” I mean there is one that pops up when you deactivate your account, right? 🙂

Is anyone else dealing with delayed add-ons? I added on sunglasses (summer & rose rose gold mirrored) that I was very excited about. But it seems they ran out and are waiting on a shipment at their warehouse. They told me they will ship soon… two weeks ago. And then the same today.

Reply ButtonReply

Redhed36

Sorry. I received all of mine.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Despite being an annual/select subscriber, my box STILL hasn’t shipped. This happens every single season. I end up getting my box at the end of the month. I’ve emailed them about it multiple times and they always say the same thing, “Your box is processing for shipment now and will be going out on the 5th!”

Here it is the 8th and all that has happened is a label was created. This reason alone is enough for me to cancel. Why am I paying for a service I don’t receive and the company won’t fix?

Anyone else have this problem? Were you ever able to get it fixed?

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

Hi Jen,

SO frustrating… I’m a select subscriber and I STILL haven’t gotten my box and it’s March 16. I messaged them about it explaining how ridiculous to be a select subscriber but to get my box later than most regular subscribers!!

They apologized but didn’t fix the issue, this happened in Winter too. They at least gave me add on shop credit. Very very very annoying.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

That’s so frustrating! My winter box shipped several days after the promised window (I am annual and had add ons). Mine shipped quite early this time, though. I think it mostly evens out in the end. I also think *priority* shipping is a promise FFF can’t reliably meet. Personally, the value from an annual membership for me lies in product customization rather than shipping. I hope your box arrives soon!

Reply ButtonReply

ChrisR

Received my box today. I liked several items more than anticipated…loved my add ons as well. The clutch is weird… it doesn’t have a natural fold to make the patterned side primary. Also a magnet or something to secure it would be nice. Right now I have it folded under a box, lol. The bracelet is dainty and cuter in person but mine came broke 🙁

One of my add ons was the dpHUE scalp scrub…has anyone ever gotten this? There was no type of seal and it is far from a full bottle (you can’t see any product above the label)… for the price I would expect a more fill jar, but also a plastic film or cover.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

I got the scalp scrub. At first I thought it had no seal, but now I think the styrofoam seal may have just stuck to the top of the plastic lid. Mine also isn’t super full. I’d guess the product expands quite a bit in cold temps, which may account for the fill level. Otherwise it could freeze and break/overflow in winter.

Reply ButtonReply

Jayne

I got my box. I went through the values with my husband (who thinks I get way too much stuff anyway). He was shocked at the sleep mask value….he said he’d rather tape 2 $20 bills to his face…lol.

The box is okay overall. I didn’t get my favorite clutch, but I am not going to be using it as a clutch anyway (probably to put things in to keep organized in a suitcase).

My candle had a dent/scratch (doesn’t seem as bad as some got) but I haven’t decided if I want to call CS over it.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Haha yes, most item values are over inflated! I find that the skin care / hair care / nail care items are usually closer to what they advertise, but the jewelry/fashion/make-up stuff is made in collaboration with FFF to be cheaper, so you’re actually getting what you pay for. If this stuff was actually worth the advertised value, you would be able to resell on eBay for that much, but that rarely happens. Most ppl resell this stuff for $5-10 an item… The actual value!

Anyway, it’s still worth it for me to try new items and if you prepay for one year it’s $45 per box instead of $50, so I feel better about that price. Also most of the things I don’t use make nice gifts so at least its not going to waste. I have too much stuff too thought and FFF does not help with the clutter problem!

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Can anyone help shed some light on shipping timing? I subscribed as an annual member in January (& received the editor’s box back then), but my spring box hasn’t shipped yet even though quite a few people here received their boxes last week. The FAQs say annual subscribers ship first. I didn’t get any add-ons. Trying to figure out whether something went wrong, or if this is normal! Thanks 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Somewhere on the website it explains shipping calendar in the FAQs, you basically get assigned to a billing/shipping block so that is why people get their boxes at different times. somewhere on your account info it will list your bill date and the box ships within 10 days of that. I always get an email/tracking after mine ships.

Reply ButtonReply

Redhed36

Did you customize your spring box? Like pick earrings or necklace stuff like that not sure if that matters. I received mine this past Saturday and I am an annual member. What does your account say, it has shipped, pending, stuff like that? Go to My account then My subscriptions and orders. The annual 4 you receive should be in light gray then as they ship the text should turn black. I too subbed in January. Also does your plan type say annual or seasonal (whatever seasonal is supposed to say)?

The editors box should not count towards the annual sub, so you should still have 4 boxes coming (which Spring should have been the first). I also received the winter editors box and it’s not showing in the my account subscription section.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Yes, I customized it (perk of annual, after all!) and it shows properly that it’s annual. It still shows as preparing for shipment. Although I just found another spot where it says will ship by today – so hopefully that’s true!

Carrie

that roller seems so helpful after the gym!

I got my box and after receiving it here are my thoughts:

Earrings are awful and I will be donating them. I am sure somebody out there will enjoy them. They are too little kid art project for me.

Candle was hardly filled. I feel slighted in that I assumed the candle would have more in it.

Love the Clutch

Love the Lip Masks

Love the Murad

Like the Nail Filler

Love the eye mask! It totally blocks out light is is very comfy to wear all night.

Love the Lip Pallet. I love the colors and there is a nice variety of colors that don’t wash me out and make me look like a zombie. It fits into my bag and I love the large mirror. It is definitely not some throw away toy for me.

The muscle roller feels great! I love using it on my quads and calves in particular.

I enjoyed the Dove sample.

This is one of my favorite boxes. Last Spring was awful. It was my first annual box and I really was disappointed. This Spring I am so glad to have a cute clutch. It will go either way you want easily. At first I thought it was not going to convert to the all floral but after using it a while it was great!

FFF really needs to stop with jewelry. Their jewelry is junk and I never like it. And if they are going to advertise a candle it would be nice to have a full one instead of one half way full. I feel I was deceived with the candle

I know this is rambling but that is my honest opinion.

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

I got mine today and I totally agree on the lip palette! I love the huge mirror, but thin profile. It fits in a purse and is good for on the go makeup application. Seems like the colors stay well too. I’m a huge fan!

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

My candle is in really bad condition, the brass container is dented, scratched, paint chipped, etc – def not reusable as advertised. I’m going to contact FFF and see if they’ll replace it. Sounds like zero quality control on the candles.

I think the bracelet is cute, but their jewelry is $5-10 Claire’s Quality…. Not $50+++ dollars as they advertise. Some other things that were too cheap for me to stomach from past boxes: roundy, ruana, jewelry holder, Kris Nations necklace. There’s usually 1-2 items per box I immediately donate, but this time it was half the box :-/

Reply ButtonReply

Jori

I looked up the person that sold the bracelet and holy cow! The bracelets ranged from hundreds to thousands! Who spends that much on bracelets?!

Laura

My box arrived today and 3 of my items are damaged. Does anyone know how FFF handles this?

My clutch is stained… Looks like motor oil. Same oil stains on my massage roller handles and one of the foam handles is damaged. My candle looks like it was dropped a dozen times – so many dents and scratches rendering it not reusable or giftable. This is my 5th box and the only one to ever arrive with a damaged item.

The box is just so-so in person. Usable items, but nothing I’m jumping for joy over. I think the eye mask is ugly in gray and let’s too much light in… and isn’t a breathable fabric, the Manhattan Beach candle makes me nauseas, the clutch does look cheap and doesn’t want to fold fabric side out very well. The lip pallet is straight up awful filler/fluff. I like the face lotion, body butter, and nail polish. The love bracelet is cuter than I expected, but it seems like phrase jewelry is on the way out? The free Dove sample is great, but I’m allergic. I hope I’m more excited for the summer box.

My free fitness gift (via email) was a Maji foot roller ball, which I love!

Does anyone have advice on how to clasp the bracelet by yourself (i.e. one handed)? I can’t seem to do it. Also wondering how FFF handles damaged items. Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

Hi Laura, sorry to hear about your damaged items. Take pictures of them then go to their website. Once you’re there you’ll see that you can live chat with them. I’ve only had extremely awesome success with them so they should send you nonmotor oiled items ASAP. Good luck and again, sorry to hear about the damaged items.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Thanks. I did take pics and planned to email them! Everything in my prior boxes had arrived in mint condition, so I know it’s not the norm. I think someone changed their oil and then packed my box 🙂 lol

Tanya

I wasn’t wowed by this box, but I was pleasantly surprised once it came in. I like the nail polish and body lotion both a lot. I got both colors of earrings, and they are pretty on me. The candle is pretty, but the linen one doesn’t have much scent. I don’t like fold-over clutches, but I’ve enjoyed using it the last few days, so I might be changing my mind. I don’t use eye masks at night, but I had a headache the day it came in, and the cooled pack inside the mask while over my eyes seemed to alleviate it a bit (and at least felt nice on my eyes). The lip masks and Murad lotions are okay. The massage roller seems silly and does nothing at all for me or my hubby, but my daughter uses it to help with her growing pains in her legs while relaxing on the couch, so it’s fine, too. Overall, I expected to be more “meh” about this box when I saw the spoilers. It turns out everything will be used, and some things I really like. So, I’m happy with it.

Reply ButtonReply

Redhed36

I received my box and I am happy. Not the greatest box, but I still like it. I was more happy about my add-ons. And the clutch is still ugly even in person, but that’s ok. I love the smell of the linen candle and like multiple other items. The bracelet is very cheap looking and looks like it’ll break easily.

Reply ButtonReply

Trina

Thank you for the review! I am so excited for this box!
Off-Topic question: what is the brand of the dress you are wearing in the photo with the clutch? It’s looks so amazing on you and is a style I’d like to check out.

Reply ButtonReply

Hilary

Simply hate those tassel earrings. I think they will turn into cat toys. The roller and Korres, eye mask and candle appeal to me, and kind of meh on the rest.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I have watched reviews for this sub for a couple years now and I can say I am still not impressed. For this box the only thing I like is the candle. Don’t get the excitement people have for this sub. My opinion only.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristen

Agree with so many others that this box is underwhelming! I have too many body lotions/butters so I selected the lip mask. Sooooo gross! Slimy and drips liquid everywhere. I unwrapped one to try it and ended up tossing all 5 in the trash a few minutes later.

The clutch looks and feels cheap, and the lip palette is a GWP throwaway item.

The candle and the roller are nice…that’s about it.
