Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sticker

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of other inserts.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Wine Voucher

Pet Treater included a $100 voucher for nakedwines.com.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Balls 1 Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Balls 2

Multipet Lattice Balls, 4 Pack – Retail Value $2.60

These are hard balls with little rattle/bell things inside. I rolled these down the hallway and Monkey immediately ran after them. Angus likes this type of toy, as well.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Treats

Vital Essentials Vital Cat Rabbit Bites, 0.9 oz. – Retail Value $4.89

I wonder a little bit if these have been discontinued because I could only find them at odd retailers, not larger suppliers of pet supplies like Chewy.com, though they still have the dog version of these treats. Anyway, these only have rabbit in them so Mr. Kitty can have them. Mostly my cats are not fans of freeze-dried meat, but it is so rare that Mr. Kitty can have any treats, I’m not going to complain. These are a bit hard for him to chew because he has bad teeth but he gets SO HAPPY when I give him one.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Wand

Multipet “Tickle Your Fancy” Wand – Estimated Value $7

If you search the name of this item from the product tag, you end up finding an item that looks different from what I received, so I’ve taken the value from an item that looks more like this but has a different brand name. Feather wands, this one also has mylar strips, are usually pretty popular with my crew. The feathers weren’t very well-attached in this instance, for what it’s worth, they kept falling off.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Wine

Cat Wine “Purrgundy”, 1.6 oz. – Retail Value $4.95

This is catnip water with a bit of fish oil and some food coloring. Monkey loves this stuff, Like, a lot! He ended up consuming the bulk of it. Maybe this is what I need to get him to drink more water?

Madison was fascinated with this thing.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Monkey 1 Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Monkey 2

Monkey really likes cat wine.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sneaky 1

Sneaky’s just in it for the food.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sneaky 2

But she does also like dangly toys on sticks.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sparkles 1 Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sparkles 2

This is actually a treat I’ve bought before because Mr. Kitty can have it.

Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2018 Sparkles 3

He was pretty sleepy, though, and didn’t feel like playing.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $19.44 for the February Pet Treater Cat Pack. That’s not too bad for a $12.99 subscription, especially when Mr. Kitty can actually have the treats! The toys were pretty popular, as well, and I don’t much care if the toys are closeouts or discount items as they weren’t catnip plushes this time (catnip can fade over time), so my cats had fun with them just the same.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’d receive March's package as your first shipment.

New Deal: Use coupon code PT-CATMAT to get a free cat mat with your first Pet Treater cat box!

Value Breakdown: At $12.99 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Lattice balls: $1.74
  • Treats: $3.27
  • Wand: $4.68
  • Cat Wine: $3.31

I took advantage of the $1 and went to cancel and it required me to call, but I took advantage of the online chat. They offered me my next box for half price so I took it. I also updated the my account section to not included any all natural or freeze dried treats. My cat won’t touch the treats included in this box. Cats are so picky. You can make your kids eat healthy but forget about it with a cat.

I signed up for this sub with the $1.00 introductory deal. I didn’t get the catnip wine, but received the tin instead. I also didn’t get the lattice balls, but received a mouse plush toy. Overall, I’m happy with my first box. My cats would not eat either of the freeze-dried treats. One of the feral cats, that eat here, ate the rabbit one, but not the buffalo.

We got the same box (bag). I didn’t know that you could change the treats preference. My cat wouldn’t touch both treats.

I see there are NO comments on there facebook wall which to me means they just taken any negative comments down! Not looking good at all !

Have you tried online chatting with them? I chatted with them today and they offered me 50% off my next box. And they said they would mark my account not to send any all natural cat treats as my cat doesn’t like them.

I was hoping to get the catnip wine but I received catnip in a tin instead. I didn’t realize they had different items to send out each month.

Tried this with their $1 intro deal. Got treats that are too hard for my cat (or any cat imo) to eat; maybe dogs could eat them. Obviously not interested in paying for more of the same, I tried to cancel. You HAVE to call and cancel, you can’t even pause or skip. I tried calling multiple times on different days, and the line NEVER picks up. It always goes to answering. There’s no other way to cancel. What the heck?? How can you guys recommend this box when you literally cannot cancel? What do I do now?

Update: After sending an email and pestering their facebook page, I finally got a response. They agreed to cancel it for me, despite their site claiming you must call to cancel. When I asked why I had to try for a week to get in touch, they said they only have two employees who answer the cancellation phone. For the entire company. So yeah, don’t expect them to pick up the phone.

Customer service claimed that they are not intentionally preventing anyone from cancelling. However, they turn a blind eye to the fact that it’s all but impossible to reach the cancellation line, which they list as the ONLY way to cancel. To me, that does seem like intentionally preventing people from cancelling, when you consider that their subscription autorenews every month without the option to pause or skip. If you don’t get a response in time, you’re charged, and there’s nothing you can do about it. That is a shady business practice, no matter if they say they aren’t “intentionally” doing so.

My advice? If you make the mistake of signing up for this crap, go straight to their facebook to cancel.

You had me worried because I took advantage of the $1 promotion and my cat won’t touch the treats (my main reason for getting it), but I had the option to online chat with them and they guy I got was really helpful. He gave 50% off my next box and put a note in my account to not include any all natural healthy snacks (my cat is stuck up). So we will see what happens. Hopefully he gets some treats he likes.

Redhed36

My first box was the February box. Unfortunately my cat won’t touch the two packages of treats and that was my main reason for getting the box, but I only paid a $1 for the box so no biggy He did get a little cat stuffed toy in the box that he loves. It also came with a nice tin to put cat nip in so will definitely get some use out of that. All in all it was a decent box and a nice experience for him.

My 3 cats will have nothing to do with any freeze dried treat. Fortunately my youngest daughter’s 2 cats love them!

Ragan

My cats tend not to like the freeze dried treats, either. Sneaky and Mr. Kitty are on prednisolone, for asthma and inflammatory bowel disease, respectively, and will eat pretty much anything. (Angus will usually take the treats, bite them into little pieces, and leave them on the carpet…)

My cat absolutely loves this box, especially the freeze dried treats.

Pet treater has easily become my favorite subscription box!

Unfortunately I was sad to see that this month, we received all the same items except my box was missing the wand.
I hope to see if this changes next month because it really is my favorite box.
