Akibento "Fable" Box April 2018 Review
This month's theme is "Fable".
Akibento Monthly Pin - Estimated Value $1.00
Every Akibento box comes with a little 1-inch pin to suit the theme.
Exclusive Akibento T-Shirt - Estimated Value $25.00
I couldn't find this shirt on the Akibento online shop, but most of their tees range between $25.00-$30.00. This 90% cotton/10% polyester tee features a design that I think is a nod to Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
Exclusive Akibento Neck Pillow - Retail Value $15.99
This polyester pillow is about 9 inches wide and has curving edges to cradle your neck. There's also an elastic band on the back to hold it to a car seat headrest. The cover unzips, too, in case you want to clean it.
Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Vol 1. - Retail Value $13.00 (Found here for $11.61)
There's more where the t-shirt came from! I always like getting manga, especially for popular series like this one. It's a comedy, so it'll be great for killing time during summer travels!
Chocolate Yan Yan, 2 oz. - Retail Value $1.19
Yum! I love Yan Yan. It's kind of like Nutella snack packs if you're familiar with those. You get a bunch of tasty breadsticks and a small pot of chocolate creme to dip them in. The sticks have little animals printed on them, too!
Konosuba! Wristband
I couldn't find a reliable price for this witchy little wristband online, but I think the colors and design are super cute. The bracelet is about 2.5 inches wide with a tiny bit of stretch (it's made of a silicone-like plastic), but it's definitely on the stiffer side.
Re: Zero Sticker Set
I didn't have much luck finding this sticker set online. Each of these 6 stickers is just over 2 inches tall and just under 2 inches wide. The colors are really pretty. I don't think they're hefty enough for a water bottle or a laptop, but they'll be great for stationery or a notebook.
The Verdict: I liked the mix of products in this month's box—from sweet snacks and stickers to bigger ticket items like tees and a travel pillow. I like getting a mix of lifestyle and wearable items. And chocolate doesn't hurt, either, hehe! The one thing that bummed me out about this box was that it arrived on May 4th! That's a little late for an April box. I hope the timing gets better in the future!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Sign up by the 19th of the month to get the upcoming box!
Value Breakdown: This box cost $29.95 (cost + shipping). I couldn't find retail values for all of the items, but what I could find adds up to about $56.18. Going by the cost of the box, the average price of each item would be $4.28.
