The FabFitFun Box is a quarterly subscription from FabFitFun.com. Each season they send you a box of $200+ worth items in categories like beauty, fashion, and fitness.

This is their latest Editor's Box - if you are a current subscriber you will not receive this box, but if you sign up for a FabFitFun subscription, this will be your first box.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: FabFitFun Box

The Cost: $49.99 a box sent every quarter

The Products: The hottest seasonal items (worth at least $200) selected by the FabFitFun team

Ships to: US and Canada

Check out all of my FabFitFun Box reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

This box comes with a card detailing each of the items included. (FYI - FabFitFun has offers customization for the Editor's Box. I'll show you all the options in the review.)

FabFitFun sends out a mini mag in each box. It details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers.

Now, time for the items!

Spongellé Body Wash Infused Buffer in Papaya Yuzu - Value $16

(This item will be in all boxes.)

This is one of my favorite subscription box beauty discoveries!

If you aren’t familiar with Spongelle, you are in for a treat! It infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well! (And it should last for at least 14 uses!)

Ahava Mineral Hand Cream – Retail Value $33

(Good to know for swapping – this item has an inner foil seal.)

(This item will be in all boxes.)

The formula is super hydrating, but it somehow still absorbs almost immediately – no greasiness! AND! FabFitFun sent us the extra-large version! I think they did a great job sending two all-star beauty products in every box!

Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case – Retail Value $58

(All subscribers will receive this item. You'll either receive this one or the floral version pictured in this review.)

This is a quality makeup train case! The materials (shell is PVC, lining is polyester) make it easy to wipe up any makeup spills, too.

The top section of the case includes a section for makeup brushes and a zippered compartment. And there’s a second zippered section on the bottom for more storage:

This case measures about 10 inches long, 6 inches across, and about 5 inches deep. It fit all my makeup with room to spare!

Now, for the variation items! (FabFitFun sent me all variation items so I can give you the details on every option, but subscribers will only get the items they select.)

Here is the first choice all subscribers can make:

Foreo Luna Fofo – Retail Value $89

(You can pick this item OR the Trina Turk Turkish Towel.)

This is a brand new product from Foreo – it isn’t even available to purchase yet! (It’s officially launching first in the Summer FabFitFun box!)

FYI – if you’ve seen the mini Foreo Play in subscription boxes before, this is larger (about 2.5 inches across). Here it is in hand to give you a better sense of scale:

(This is the Fofo I got in my Summer box - colors will vary.)

If you aren’t familiar with the Foreo, it’s a pulsating device that allows you to get a much deeper clean when cleansing your face. (Similar to a Clarisonic.)

I’d been a Clarisonic user for years, but last year I switched to Foreo thanks to the first time I sampled this device!

Both Clarisonic and Foreo do a great job of cleaning my skin thoroughly. The big difference for me is the silicone brush surface area. It’s nonporous and will resist any bacteria build up. With Clarisonic, you have to always buy replacement brush heads. (At $22 a new brush head, switched out every 2-3 months, the costs add up!) Plus, this design is way cuter! 🙂

And it has a replaceable AAA battery. (The battery should last for up to 400 uses before needing to be replaced.)

And see those two metal skin sensors on the back? This new Foreo is extra high-tech! You download their app, then use the sensors to analyze your skin, and get a custom cleansing plan that syncs with the device.

Alternatively, you can pick this Turkish Towel instead of the Foreo:

Trina Turk Turkish Towel - Retail Value $78

This Turkish towel is 100% cotton, super soft, and absorbant, too. (And it's a thin enough material that it can double as a beach wrap.)

Here's a closer look at the pattern:

And here I am holding it up to give you a better sense of scale:

I'm pretty much obsessed with Turkish towels! They're great for adding some summer color to your couch or the foot of your bed, too.

Here is the second choice all subscribers can make:

Free People Understated Leather Eyemask – Retail Value $40

(You’ll receive this in grey or the mint pictured here.)

You can pick this item OR the Necklace OR the Purlisse Moisturizer.

This is a vegan leather sleep mask filled with a removable cooling insert. The opposite side is a soft fabric so it’s comfortable to wear:

And here is the removable cooling insert that you can pop in the fridge:

I just used this (sans insert) for blocking out any light on a redeye flight and it was a lifesaver!

Alternatively, you can pick this Necklace:

8 Other Reasons Landon Lariat - Retail Value $48

This silver-tone necklace is nickel and lead free, and measures about 13 inches long with a 4-inch extender.

Here it is on:

Alternatively, you can pick this moisturizer:

Purlisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer - Retail Value $45

I'm always happy to see Purlisse in a subscription box (it's a great ingredient-conscious skincare brand). This moisturizer is light, absorbs quickly, and is so gentle on my skin. (Also it has a matte finish, so it's great to use before makeup application.)

Here is the third choice all subscribers can make:

ISH Beauty Lip Statement Palette – Retail Value $42

(You can pick this item OR the Dr. Brandt Primer.)

The pigment is great throughout the palette, and the formulas are moisturizing and creamy.

Here are all the shades swatched:

Alternatively, you can pick this primer:

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $38

This primer is designed to help blur pores/imperfections and prep skin for makeup application. It provides just the faintest glow, gives your skin a smooth finish, and feels like you aren’t wearing any makeup. I wear a full coverage foundation, so the glow part is lost on me, but I’m still happy with this primer.

Next up, we have choices you can make if you select the annual plan. (If you stick with the quarterly plan, you'll receive one of these items at random.)

Whish Beauty Rice Milk + Rose Creme Cleanser - Retail Value $24

This is another ingredient-conscious beauty brand, and this formula smells SO good! It's gentle, soothing, and didn't strip my skin of oils. A+!

Alternatively, annual subscribers can pick this silicone makeup applicator:

MakeupDrop Original – Retail Value $20

I received this in a few other subscription boxes and I am a huge fan! Typically, I use a beauty blender or a stippling brush to apply liquid foundation. This silicone applicator gets the same flawless application look of the beauty blender, but it has additional benefits:

  1. No foundation absorbing into it! With a Beauty Blender or brush, I’m always losing some foundation to the tool itself, but this silicone isn’t porous, so all makeup goes on your skin!
  2. Super easy cleanup! Just soap, water, and towel it off and it’s good to go! No waiting for beauty blenders/brushes to dry!

Also, this glitter is a fun addition!

Alternatively, annual subscribers can pick this Trigger Point Ball:

Maji Sports Trigger Point Ball - Retail Value $24.95

This rubber ball is great for travel, or just precision massage compared to a larger foam roller.

Here are some ways you can use it:

Here is the last choice all annual subscribers can make:

Korres Shower Gel in Japanese Rose - Retail Value $18.50

This is a creamy, fragrant body wash. (And good news if you are like me and don't like unnecessary artificial dyes - the bottle makes it look like the formula is red, but it's clear!)

Alternatively, annual subscribers can pick these skin reviving pads:

Tula Probiotic Skincare Dual-Phase Skin Reviving Pads - (Set of 5) Retail Value $26

I really like the concept behind these pads. You slip your middle finger and index finger into the pad opening, apply the serum side first, then follow with the textured side for exfoliation.

The only thing I didn't like about these, was the material choice. As soon as I started applying it to my skin, the cotton from the pad started forming little cotton balls all over my face! That issue aside, the formula was great.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $301-$336 depending on your choices.! I think this is a fabulous Editor's Box - they included some of the most popular items from past boxes and some brand new items, too. It's a good mix! (Honestly, I think this box is worth it for the Foreo alone!)

And I love that they are letting new subscribers customize their first box! (Once you are a subscriber, you'll have the option to pick some of your items every season, and if you are an annual subscriber, you'll be able to pick your color choices for some items, too.)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Make sure to sign up asap as supplies for customization are limited.

COUPON -  Use coupon code MSA to save $10 off this box!

Value Breakdown: Since there are so many variations, I can't do a typical breakdown, but if you bought this for $40 (after the $10 MSA coupon), you are paying only $5 an item!

Hi. I just thought I would mention that the fibers you were talking about in the Tula treatment pads are actually supposed to be there. I actually thought the same when I first tried these. Then I read the back of the packet again. In step 2 it says… Glide the smooth side over face to disperse activating serum and white plant fibers. They are to help exfoliate and spread the serum. Hope this helps.

I received the summer box and am enjoying all of the products. However, when I wanted to cancel my subscription I had a difficult time logging in, had to send 6 e-mails to fabfitfun to receive a temporary password, and then had to live chat for almost 20 minutes with someone before they cancelled my subscription. Although I am enjoying the products, I would NOT recommend this subscription box simply because of the difficulties in cancelling my subscription.

I received the editor’s box but the items did not add up to the value range on their insert card. Very unclear how the options work. I remember selecting things other than what I got. Pointed this out, got a semi snotty reply showing me what I had chosen (not what I remember choosing) and saying how important my happiness was to them. Took 6 emails and several social media posts to get them to add an item so the value at least added up.
Now I seem to get daily emails urging me to upgrade so I can choose ad ons early.
Will note: the 3 things I added onto my first box arrived before the box. So they did get the part about selling me extra stuff right.
Basically everything I hate about internet businesses and pablum oriented customer service. Saturation level marketing. Giving them one more box to get it at least partly right.

Anyone know how much this box weights?

Does anyone know what choices are still available!

Love this box! Got everything I wanted! So glad I finally broke down and subscribed.

I selected my choices and got just the opposite of what I chose. The website has the correct box shown that was suppose to be shipped with my correct selections. What I received was different. Is that how this box works that you make your selections but they can change the items if they need to?

I wonder if the 3 items Mandy mentioned are what’s in the $100 STARS sign up mystery bundle.

I just received my email and it lists the following:

1 MYTAGALONGS Emergency Festival Kit
1 Living Proof Full Thickening Cream 3.7oz
1 Milly “Haute Mess” Zip Pouch (Lilac)
1 Post Editor’s Box

I did research on the MyTagAlongs Emergency Festival Kit and it includes the following items:

Clear plastic poncho
• Brush with mirror
• Nail file
• Phone fan upgraded
• 2 Bobby pins
• 2 Telephone cord hair elastics
• Neoprene pouch

Honestly the Festival Kit and “Haute Mess pouch” are not exciting me in the least. I’ve seen better from FFF and I honestly hope FFF makes up for it with whatever else they included.

It will be interesting to see if FFF indeed swapped the items out of the Editors box and replaced them with these…or if they are the STARS mystery bundle.

I’ll put the Festival Kit in my trunk with my emergency kit and go bag. The plastic poncho might come in handy if I break down in nasty weather…or if my car goes off the road and I’m buried in Colorado snow and I want to brush my hair or file my nails LOL *eye roll*

Mandy

FFF has changed the options in the box starting with item 4.
I was informed by email today that my choices ( which are the 4 items you listed as ” either/ or”) and the following unknown products have shipped:

MYTAGALONGS Emergency Festival Kit

Living Proof Full Thickening Cream 3.7 oz

Milly “Haute Mess” Zip Pouch (Lilac)

I have no clue what Mytagalongs is sending but I don’t usually care for their brand, I have extremely thick hair already and have 3 (!!!) of the old stock Milly pouches.

I wish the review reflected what they are actually sending out. They need to keep you in the loop with this because I don’t think the box has anywhere near the value of the products you’ve shown in the review, through no fault of yours.

If you can’t find someone to trade with you can get the Maji sports trigger ball in the live edit sale right now. It’s only $7! 😊 I didn’t get that option in my box and I wanted it, too, so it’s in my cart.

I just broke down and bought this. I wanted very specific items and was able to get them. However, it only let me choose the first three even though I am an annual member. I chatted with customer service and they customized the rest of the box for me so I got everything I wanted. I had to buy the box while I was chatting and then gave her my choices and she set me up. Just in case anyone else was wondering! I think they initially sold out of the some of the options but I went back and checked and they were all there! I am getting the towel, purlisse moisturizer (so excited because I am obsessed with their sheet masks), dr brandt (I had FOMO from missing out on it from boxy), whish face wash (perfect to use with the foreo!) and the korres body wash (I love my korres lotion and it smells so good so I have high hopes for this as well). I’m super excited! Too bad the editor’s sale is gonna hit and I’m gonna spend even more money. 🙂

I signed up as a new subscriber last night (July 2nd) I was able to choose I believe three of the products. choice between the Turkish towel or the Foreo (I chose the foreo-😯I’m scared now because of the bad reviews on here) then there was a choice between the Free People eye mask the necklace or the purlise moisturizer (I chose the necklace- already have tons of primers from subscription boxes and I have the Free People eye mask from the post spring editors box) then I believe the third and final customization choice for me was between the dr. Brandt primer or the ISH lip palette ( I chose the lip palette) I guess if you’re an annual subscriber you get to customize almost every choice. I never got a message or anything saying that anything was out of stock.

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

How did you get to choose? I just signed up but nothing came up to choose?

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

Hi😀 sorry just saw ur message now. Did you end up being able to pick your items?😀

Redhed36

The Foreo has worked great for me. The only issue is the App, but they can fix that. My app says Beta which means test phase.

Reply ButtonReply

Prescilla

I got the Turkish towel and I’m kind of happy. It was truly amazing.

This Foreo thing started good but then (even though im synchronizing with the app almost every day) just plays for 10-15 seconds and stops. It used to work normally for 90 seconds as advertised at the beginning but now it doesn’t. Is my battery low or its just the app? I’m confused…

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

You probably need to change the batteries and do it ASAP. A lot of people have been having problems with the cheap batteries it comes with leaking or corroding. I changed mine out despite not having had any issues with it based on what I read and when I opened it up I could see that the bottom of the battery was starting to come apart.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I think I ordered a box, but it did not ask me to choose anything. Do they choose for us for the first box? I’m confused. I was under the assumption that I would get to chose?

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I contacted customer service and they allowed me to customize 🙂

i’m loving the foreo so far! i just got my box on saturday and i’ve used it twice so far with a cleanser we got in new beauty last time. it’s like a spa experience, so nice! i do have one question for those that are using the foreo… is it supposed to auto shut off like a clairsonic? mine doesn’t shut off after the minute, it just keeps going. i have to manually shut it off by pressing the button for a few seconds. is this normal?

Reply ButtonReply

LJ

Are you using the app? If not, then it won’t turn off by itself. If you’re using the app after analyzing your skin, then it automatically turns on and pauses between sections of your face to provide different degrees of vibration based on the analysis. It will then stop automatically, but I do have to turn it off manually.

Reply ButtonReply

Eileen

Mine does the same thing

Reply ButtonReply

Eileen

I mean it doesn’t turn off after a minute.

Anna

Mine turns off by itself.

I used my ask mask for the first time this morning and it worked well. I didn’t get to sleep til 4am and by 6:30 the sun was rising and this mask kept the light out and I didn’t notice it was on.

Shana

Hi Liz, what was your take on the necklace?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

If you like delicate jewelry, I’d go for it! I liked the length, too. (Personally, I prefer gold over silver, though!)

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

I’m in love with the foreo I got as I’m a current seasonal subscriber. I’m getting the whish cleanser, the korres shower gel, the foreo , the dr. Brandt primer, and the pur-lisse moisturizer! I got to pick everything and I’m seasonal. I got it just for another foreo. Also the pulsations is based solely on your skin analysis that you did. So if u have oily skin the pulses are high, if their low it’ll go low and so on. You have to analyze your skin at least once a week . Hope it helps

Reply ButtonReply

Cp

So they let you choose out of every category then? I ask because my sister has been trying to sign up her 1st time and she says it’s not letting her chose.
Could she possibly be doing something wrong?
Thank you

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

It’s supposed to just be the first 3 choices for seasonal and all 5 choices for annual. There was confusion as to how it was supposed to work at first which may be why some seasonals got to choose all 5. It’s also possible it just depends on what cs rep you get. It’s worth having her ask, the worst they can do is say no. Have also heard that some options have sold out, so that could also be why she can’t choose certain things.

Michelle Bross

You pay for it then choose

Michelle

I got the summer box mainly for the foreo, but im disappointed with it’s low intensity. I feel much more like it’s cleaning my face just from me scrubbing it around on my skin than from the vibrating it is doing. Maybe i got one with a low battery?

And does anyone know how the app is working? Last I heard they didn’t even have up available yet.

Reply ButtonReply

LJ

The app appears to have been updated. When I did a new analysis this morning, the results gave me a different age for my skin than my actual age. It also said what kind of skin I have (combination). I like it as it washes less intensely on the dry areas of my face and more on the oily areas.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

Same here, very disappointed in the foreo. I definitely don’t understand the hype after using it. It doesn’t do as good as I can with my handheld scrubber from tarte. I got the app to work but it’s a joke. It doesn’t even do anything. Said my skin age is 40, which I am and that’s all.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

This is why I’m glad I got this in this box instead of paying full price for any Foreo. People talk about it as if it is a game changer and I swear I accomplish more(and have shinier/youthful looking skin) by just using a different washcloth every day. I would be furious if I even paid $40 for a Foreo.

Anna

According to their site the Editors box is out of stock, it lets me get to the choice area but then says out of stock.

Granny

I just ordered my first box and was able to customize it. I would try again.
