Bombfell is a men’s clothing and accessory subscription box service that focuses on vamping up the styles in your everyday wardrobe. When signing up, you take an in-depth survey so your personal stylist gets a feel for whom you are, what your style is, and what you’re looking for out the service. What makes Bombfell a little more unique compared to other styling services, is that you get to see the stylist’s picks before they ship! So if you are unhappy with any of the pieces, you can simply let them know to filter in something else that would better fit you and your style!

These items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Bombfell may be completely different!

Bombfell August 2018 Review

I upped the amount of clothing for this week - 5 new pieces, including jeans, shorts, and shirts.

When you're starting a Bombfell subscription, you'll first go through a series of questions to build up your style profile while also helping them decide what types of items to send:

It starts with sizing and the general look that you're going for.

Then you'll start building up some preferences - starting with retailers that you already shop with.

Outfits that appeal to you.

And finally, the price point you'd like to stay within when receiving your clothing. Bombfell is a styling service, so you'll only pay for what you like and you'll mail back anything you don't.

One piece of the experience that I really enjoyed was actually being able to choose up to 5 clothing types for your next shipment:

You can choose to be surprised or you can get specific with the type of clothing items you want to try. This is very useful to me since I live in a spot where I need different items for pretty much all 4 seasons.

These might be the most important piece of your delivery! This is a mailer bag to send your clothes back in, and the return label - just pop this new label over the label on your box and send it back.

Civil Society Romoso Windowpane Check Chest Pocket SS Shirt (Light Blue) - Cost To Keep $69

I'm not really a button-up shirt type of guy, so this was the one item that I wasn't looking forward to trying - in the end, it's my absolute favorite of the whole month!

This shirt is light, breezy, very comfortable, and seemed to be the perfect fit for me! I had to keep this one - and I even went straight to the Civil Society site to see what else was available (unfortunately, they're pretty sold-out right now).

Jeremiah Merrill Pigment Slub Poplin Short (Terracotta) - Cost To Keep $65

The other item that I wasn't entirely sold on were these shorts - and again, surprise surprise - these were my favorite shorts of the month!

The color is certainly summery - but it actually went with a lot of different items, including the black t-shirt I'm wearing with them today. All-in-all, you'll get 6 pockets with these too - the little side pockets are absolutely perfect for your phone!

Sons of Fortune Parker Pique Henley SS Tee (Blue) - Cost to Keep $25

I love a good Henley, for that reason, this turned out to be my biggest let down of the month!

The shirt was just a little big in weird areas - it felt like it almost draped over me in certain places, it's a little hard to explain. I wanted to love this one, but I had to send it back.

Original Penguin Seersucker Plaid Slim Short (Quiet Green) - Cost to Keep $79

My second pair of shorts come from Original Penguin.

These are a seersucker design - they're a shorter length and very thin.

Pocket-wise, it's everything you'd expect for shorts. Overall, I didn't like the length of these - so I had to send them back.

Mavi Zach Reg-Rise Straight Leg Jeans (Rinse Foggy Williamsburg) - Cost to Keep $98

Heading into Fall, I'm in need of some new jeans - so this was my first time requesting them from Bombfell - and it didn't disappoint.

These jeans felt worn-in already, so they were super soft and fit well - more of a relaxed fit.

There's nothing too flashy with these, the design is a basic straight-forward pair of jeans - which is what I was looking for!

Verdict: So far, I'm having a blast with these clothing rental services - I might have to try more! I ended up keeping the jeans, button-up, and the terracotta shorts - so it was a big win for me! I'm already wearing the short today, and plan on wearing the button-up later tonight.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Bombfell curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above!

Value Breakdown: You'll pay a $20 styling fee with free shipping and returns - Just pay for the items you keep!  The total retail value of the items inside my shipment today is $336, which is an average of $67.20 per item - plus, you'll save 10% when you keep 2 items, 15% when you keep 3 items, and 20% when you keep 4 items.

What do you think about the products in my Bombfell shipment?
