Each box comes with a booklet that tells you more about the products included with tips on how to use them.

Now, on to the items!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer – 40 ml Value $11.20

This Elasticizer is designed to be used on damp hair for 20 minutes before shampooing. It’s a deep conditioning treatment you can use twice a week. I’ve sampled this before and didn’t see amazing results, so I thought I’d try it again – still nothing substantial. I’m wondering if it works better on certain hair types? Let me know if you’ve tried it and have any tips!

Omorovicza Ultramoor Mud Mask – 5 ml Value $12.50

I LOVE this ingredient-conscious brand! This mud mask is designed to help clear out pores and firm skin. It dries in under 10 minutes, and it has a very gentle exfoliation when you rinse it off.

Eve Lom Cleanser & Muslin Cloth – 20 ml Value $24

Even Lom is a fabulous luxe brand I’m always happy to see in subscription boxes! (It rarely happens, though!)

This cleansing balm is a beauty cult-classic for good reasons – it makes cleaning your face feel like a luxe beauty ritual.

And it comes with a muslin cloth to use with it:

If you aren’t familiar with how to use this cleanser, here are the instructions:

-Use the cleanser once a day in the evening for normal to dry skin types, and twice daily in the morning and evening for congested skin.
-Apply a small amount to dry fingertips, then gently massage across a dry face and neck until the cleanser is evenly distributed.
-Saturate the Muslin Cloth in hot water and squeeze off any excess.
-Fold it into a square and work it across the face and neck in small, circular movements to eliminate all traces of cleanser, dirt, and makeup.
-Rinse the face and cloth thoroughly in cool water, pressing the fabric against the skin to complete the cleanse for a closed-pore look and feel.

I love the natural essential oil scent of eucalyptus, and the cleanser was gentle on my skin, and great for removing eye makeup, too. (Plus a solid cleanser makes it easier for travel!)

Mane ‘N Tail Hoofmaker Original Hand And Nail Therapy - 2 oz Value $2.26

I know this is a favorite brand for lots of peeps - but I'm just not the biggest fan of the packaging/branding! The formula itself is light, absorbs quickly, and is subtly fragrant.

Lord & Berry Strobing Pencil – .02 oz Travel Size Value $10

This little pencil is a creamy formula that is easy to blend, and it’s perfect for precision highlight areas like the inner corners of your eyes, your cupid’s bow, etc.

Here it is swatched:

Aromatherapy Associates Support Lavender & Peppermint Bath & Shower Oil – 9 ml Value $11.95

This is another brand I love seeing in subscription boxes! You can add this oil to your bath, or apply it to your skin before a shower. And I love lavender, so this scent is lovely!

And since this is a birthday box, Look Fantastic included some candy, too!

(Make sure to check your box for your coupon code for the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar!)

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $71.91 not counting the magazine. I think that's great for a $19 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? (This page will let you know what box is currently available.)

I think I’m going to stay away from this box because every month I read about someone having subscription problems. Bummer…I wanted to try this box.

I’ve never had issues with the box. I’ve been getting it since march (1 year subscription) and never have a problem. Just keep in mind when people review things, it’s usually the complaints. Most people don’t review if they are happy. I’ve bought stuff from the store without issue too.

Hi Liz,

I dont know if you’ll be able to help me in anyway, but at least your readers should know this.

I ordered look fantastic’s year long prepaid subscription. From my computer’s auto fill, it left off my house number. I opened a chat log with them within the hour and asked them to cancel it so I could rebook. They said that it was taken care of and that they’d cancelled things for me. I then get a confirmation of cancellation a few hours later, but they had only cancelled the free gift. I called the next day and they said they would look into it. They messaged me saying that they’d cancelled the full prepaid subscription and I saw a temporary refund on my card. I check a few days later and it’s not there any more. I messaged them again and they said that they could not refund my order. I feel like that is incredibly dishonest of them and almost akin to robbery. I am now out of $192 and I don’t really know what to do next. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

TLDR: Look fantastic said they would refund me, but then changed their minds. So now I’m out $192, even though they haven’t sent most of the order and the bit they did send will be returned to them undeliverable.

Hi ann,
Hope this helps. You should print Under the sites terms and conditions I believe it’s #10 about canceling and then apparently you should follow the return policy as well. If you follow their terms…That should be proof enough to dispute with your credit card company if they don’t honor. Also if original email confirmation stated your order was canceled. #10 (i think) states something like….

Where you have purchased the goods or services as a consumer please note you are entitled to cancel any contract completed with us within 14 days from the day which you acquire physical possession of goods.
If you wish to cancel a contract pursuant to this clause, then please see Returns Policy for further details of how.

Can I still get this box?

Liz,
The Phillp Kingsley works best if you use a shower cap over it, but the best results I had were using it overnight on damp hair.

The book doesn’t show a variant for the Omorovicza mask were there not variants on that item?

I didn’t get the mask or the Gold Shimmer oil, but got the Aromatherapy oil in REVIVE MORNING. Maybe my box is missing something?

Laura

I’ve seen several reviews of this box and it seems everyone got the Omorovicza mud mask. There were two other options, an oil and a cleanser I think, did anyone get those?

Nan

I just noticed in the pamphlet it also mentions a second oil, Omorovicza Gold Shimmer Oil. I received the Aromatherapy bath & shower gel, but didn’t get the mud mask. Mine is a different variety, REVIVE MORNING, whatever that means. It doesn’t have much scent at all.

Nan

I got the oil.

Alyce

I received the oil, small amount/sample. Beautiful texture and a light lavender scent.

Laura

I hope I get the oil, though it looked like a deluxe sample on the pictures, not a small one 🙁

Kim

The hoofmaker makes me laugh. I wish the cap popped up like a normal lotion bottle, getting it out isn’t very easy.

I really enjoyed the evelom cleansing ritual. Felt very fancy 😀

I purchased 3 of the Birthday box:
-Birthday box would be great to re-purpose as birthday box for a friends
-Fell in Love with Eve lom cleanser, the scent is heavily and cozy, my skin was glowing in the morning
-Aromatherapy Associates, great product, scent is relaxing
-Lord & Berry highlighting pencil is wonderful and easy to use
-Philip Kingsley pre-shower treatment makes hair silky, great to do on weekend when shower time is not so limited ;P
-Mane n’Tail does the job
-candy is not my thing, but it felt like eating lavender scented sugar…

star of the box is eve lom

Just received my first box today. Fancy! I actually felt like someone sent me a present. I thought the packaging was even better than Glossybox. I’ve never tried any of the items, so hopefully they will work for me.

Wow! I really liked this box. Love the Philip Kingsley’s and Eve Lom and the mud mask. But these are brands I have wanted to try so I guess that made it nice for me. Plus the candy was unusual but familiar.

Maria

Did not care for the candy. Excited to try the eve lom. Can never have to many hand lotions in Minnesota, especially during the coming winter months.

It was an OK box, a little bit of a letdown since it’s their birthday. I received Revive morning bath oil, which I do not like the way it smells. Grapefruit, juniper and rosemary is no bueno. Including Mane n’ Tail is just weird imo. The best part of this box was the box, and packing material.

Emilia

I agree. I was expecting something fabulous for their birthday. And the variations scared me away, as well.

Jody

Liz, I got my box yesterday. I haven’t tried the candy. Sounds so English eating flowers.
Is the cleansing balm heavily scented compared to other ones?

Reply ButtonReply

Lola

The violet candy is lovely. A bit sweet so only a few wafers at a time. I remember my grandma having violet mints in her purse all the time. These sort of reminded me of them. And definitely British.

Liz Cadman

No, I don’t think the cleansing balm is heavily scented at all. Hope that helps! 🙂
