Who in their right mind would pay 25$ for those ugly nail wraps, and what does money have to do w/sluts? Sluts give it away right? 25$ is better spent at my local asian spa for a mani/pedi w/a little more for tip… So who would pay 25$ for those??

Let me guess…the rest of the items are pasties, condoms, some lube samples, and a random beauty product? I had such high hopes for this box, the first few months showed so much promise for this box but then it just got boring fast. Cancelled after last months snooze fest.

Yeah, this is one box that I will NEVER subscribe to. The “adult” subscription boxes that I’ve seen (the ones with the “adult pleasure” toys) are way classier than this box. This box is just tacky on so many levels.

This is such a sleazy subscription– demeaning and degrading to women! She calls her customers SLUTS or MY SLUTS. Do you think If anyone on the street would call me a slut, there would be hell to pay–and yet women are actually paying her to call you a slut? Seriously?!!! I have more self-esteem that THAT!

I mean…honestly you miss the point entirely. While it’s of course okay for anyone to not want to be called a slut, her point is to take away the power of that word. To reclaim it so men can’t use it against women anymore. To erase that negativity behind it. For me personally it’s a message I can get behind after what I’ve been through. But I also completely understand someone not being comfortable with it! However, it’s not cool of you to make it seem like women who try to reclaim the word have no self esteem.

I agree Dani and Faith. I’ll never understand why anyone has to bash others, for liking something. If its not for you, fine. Say that. But speaking down to others who understand or even like the items is not very ladylike! (Which is what they are basically saying about themselves, that they are but yet think its okay to bash another?)

If this is her objective, I actually like it, but she may need to think REALLY hard on things to include in this box to get the message delivered the exact way it is meant to be. I am not a subscriber for this box but from what I see it doesn’t deliver the message and I hope this box would redeem itself to one day empower women to own that word or to remove the negativity around that word..,idk, perhaps intro items that would make a woman “shows ” that she owns her own self…I guess that may sound easy to say but hard to please everybody in the crowd. I could sense the struggle she (her team) may encounter with this box; but I agree with most here that this box needs a revamp to appeal to the mass and get the message shines through.

Embracing your own sexuality is not degrading or demeaning. I encourage you to look up the concept of slur reclamation. What’s truly demeaning is suggesting there’s something wrong with women for choosing to spend their money on something that empowers them. It certainly doesn’t have to empower you. You don’t even have to like it. But dumping on women who choose to use the word slut or purchase sex-positive products isn’t cool.

I was so excited for this subscription box. The first box was pretty amazing, we got a cool t shirt exclusively designed for Amber Rose/Slutbox from Fashion Nova and a wide variety of health, beauty, cosmetic, skin care and sexuality positive items. Each month following the content steadily and rapidly declined. Ultimately I canceled because I was moving and needed to save some money but originally I had intended to return, however after seeing unboxings on YouTube and various other social media platforms and other ” promotional ” content from the company and it’s founder itself the box quickly went from fun and having potential to disgracefully exploitative and an outright abuse/theft of people’s money. Basically boxes are now repeat items, often boxes are missing items although, the boxes contents contain things that retail at$0, they would be free anywhere except for in this sub box where someone makes up arbitrary prices in a weak and rather insulting attempt to justify taking $30 from it’s customers every month, the few actual items could be found in a low quality, no name dollar store. This box is an insult, an embarrassment and most importantly a blatant RIP off and extortion of money from fans. Stop it Amber.
