Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Trunk Club Plus Clothing December 2018 Review
So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected several items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! There is also an option to allow your stylist to send a few surprise pieces.
This packet was included in my trunk.
The front of the enclosed booklet now has instructions!
Inside is a note from my stylist, Sydney. It explains why she chose this month's pieces for me and gives a bit of styling advice. I like how accessible my stylist is.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep.
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Cameron Street Large Hilli Leather Crossbody Bag by Kate Spade New York - Cost to Keep $198
This leather purse is gorgeous! It's about 8" x 7", so it's a good size without being too large and unwieldy. It's a great size for a crossbody. It also has this hatch texture that makes it interesting while still elegant. I love it! But can I spend $200 on a purse right now? Where's my thinking emoji?
Waterfall Drape Front Cardigan by Dantelle - Cost to Keep $49
I am a little obsessed with eggplant (the color, not the plant) these days, and I LOVE this cardigan! It's a super soft and stretchy rayon/spandex blend, and it is perfect for the season! It's nice and lightweight, which makes it a great layering piece, whatever may happen with our crazy weather here in Georgia. It can be 20 degrees one day and 50 the next, so you have to pay attention and have a variety of items ready in your wardrobe. This cardigan looks sharp and will suit me well this season! Plus the price is right!
Ankle Pants by Vince Camuto - Cost to Keep $89
These basic black pants are a great fit! They are also a polyester-elastane blend, so they stretch and move with me really well while still looking work appropriate. And for designer pants, the price is pretty good! I just don't know if I need another pair of basic black slacks right now.
Fringe Trim Novelty Tweed Jacket by 1.State - Cost to Keep $159
Oh my gosh, what a cool jacket! Look at how funky this is! I love it! I am unfortunately wearing a not-too-flattering top underneath that I was modeling for a different review, but I think with a better fitting top this would look amazing! I like the length on me a lot, it is among the more flattering cuts I typially wear. It is also a cotton/poly blend, so it has just a bit of stretch. It's awesome!
Sexy Fling Zip Front Top by City Chic - Cost to Keep $59
I like the idea of this top, and I love the deep teal color, but the execution just does not work for me. It is a 100% polyester chiffon tunic, which means there is no stretch. I tend to shy away from chiffons for that reason. I like to be able to move, and when a garment does not have stretch, it always winds up being too small or too big in at least one area. Plus size clothing is hard that way as women carry their weight differently from one another. I think this will have to go back.
Velvet leggings by Hue - Cost to Keep $38 (found on sale here for $34.99)
Why yes, I do need a pair of black velvet leggings, thank you! These are so fun! They are super soft and super black. I think they will work with so many different things this winter. I love them! Plus these are also priced to move!
Tissue Weight Wool & Cashmere Scarf by Nordstrom - Cost to Keep $99
I love a good luxury scarf, and this one is super luxe! It feels heavenly! It's also lightweight but still quite warm and cozy. Check out the amazing vibrant color, too! I don't know if I can justify spending that much on myself right now, though... I think it's time to check my Chritmas list and see if there's anyone who stiffed me, haha.
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! I got so many awesome pieces this month! It's actually hard to say which were my favorite, but I think I'm going to have to go with the cardigan and the jacket, they were both outstanding. Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces!
