Just wanted to check back in and shed some insight on the menu. I chose the two person plan (so six meals total). There were four vegetable options for the week: Korean Brussels sprouts, Asian green beans, spicy cauliflower, and sweet carrots with dried cherries. You pick three. Then you pick three proteins: tofu, chicken, shrimp, or salmon or steak for an additional charge, and then you pick your 3 grain bases and can mix and match. I love their veggies so it was a win for me. I presume in the future they may offer more variety such as mason jar salads. I do wish that you didn’t have to get the protein…I feel like an awesome veg and a grain would be good enough for me. Hope this helps others!

Hmmm….ya….I already do Home Chef but these lunches look pretty good in the pictures so I’d be tempted to try it out at least….if I could see a menu first.

How are the portion sizes? Is that a complete lunch for a busy day, in your experience?

I really like the reviews on the product, but I’m concerned about the major red flags. I’m going to give this a minute and check back in. If I see a menu that I think I can work with this might be right up my alley 🥘

I signed up on a whim. I got the dinner boxes when I was in school and loved them. They always had really great sauces and I loved that you were getting a gourmet meal with such little effort. I’ve also always had very positive experiences with their customer service. But I completely agree-they should show you then menu without having to give your credit card number.

Careful while signing up for this.

I am a Gobble subscriber for their dinners, and in general I love this food subscription because it’s consistently delicious and easy to make.

I got an alert about a new Gobble meal prep lunch service and clicked something saying I was interested, and the next week I got a box of stuff that I hadn’t even chosen, and was charged right away for the whole month.

Perhaps they did send alerts giving me the option to choose my meals and choose whether to be charged right away, but I didn’t see one.

I did prepare that first week of recipes and found them to be pretty good. High quality ingredients, relatively healthy, and tasty. A bit overpriced but that’s how it goes with food boxes; I see it as paying for convenience.

I emailed and said I didn’t want to do the lunch prep stuff anymore and they credited the remaining cost for the month to my account and canceled the month’s remaining orders. So at least that was handled correctly.

Were they all hot meals, like smaller portions of their dinners?

I can’t believe they expect people to sign up for a month-long trial for around $200 without even providing a menu to tempt you 🤭.
