Check out all of my FabFitFun VIP Box reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

This box comes with a card detailing each of the items included.

FabFitFun sends out a mini mag in each box. It details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers.

Now, time for the items!

I'm going to start with the items that all subscribers will receive:

Summer & Rose Celine Trinket Dish – Retail Value $18

I'm always happy to see a home item in a FabFitFun box, and this trinket tray is adorable, too!

It's a glazed ceramic clay with a few pale pink triangle accents and rose gold lines.

Here's a closer look at the metallic rose gold detail:

This tray measures 6" by 4" and is big enough to keep store your lip balms, keys, jewelry, etc.

Lavido Aromatic Body Lotion in Mandarin, Orange, & Bergamot – Retail Value $19

I sampled this before thanks to the Spring FabFitFun box, and I'm happy to have more - I love an ingredient-conscious body cream!

The formula is moisturizing but not greasy, and it has a scent blend of Mandarin, Orange & Bergamot. It’s a little more fragrant than I was expecting, but I like the scent, so that’s OK with me!

Way of Will Strengthening Nail & Cuticle Serum – Retail Value $24

More ingredient-conscious goodness! Way of Will is a brand I discovered through FabFitFun, and I love their all-natural essential oil blends.

This formula is a blend of Lavender, Geranium, and Ylang Ylang essential oils, plus other oils like Argan Oil and Vitamin E. It's designed to not only hydrate cuticles but to also to help strengthen nails. I only need a drop of oil per hand to cover all my fingers, and my cuticles looked better immediately. Plus I love the scent!

Now, here are three choice items in the box for all subscribers:

First, you can pick one of these three items:

You can pick: Private Party “Beach Please” Beach Towel (Retail Value $50) OR Yumi Kim Hanging Train Case (Retail Value $58) or Diff Cruz Sunglasses (Retail Value $85)

Private Party “Beach Please” Beach Towel - Retail Value $50

I am ready for nice weather, and I love this pale pink + yellow color combo, so this towel was an easy pick! And this is a microfiber towel, so sand won’t stick to it! It’s also super soft and oversized!

Next, you can pick one of these three items:

You can pick: Ettika Opal Rose Necklace (Retail Value $40) OR Eleven by Venus Venus Williams Foldable Gym Bag (Retail Value $29) OR ISH #Imsmokinghot Palette (Retail Value $32)

ISH #Imsmokinghot Palette (Retail Value $32)

This palette is the perfect size and design for travel - it has a mirror on the inside, and a perfect mix of matte and shimmery neutrals.

The pigment is good throughout, and the colors were easy to blend, too. (I've been wearing the Ambitious matte shade as part of my everyday no-makeup makeup look, and it stays put!

Here are all the shades swatched:

And lastly, you can pick one of these two items:

You can pick: DPHue ACV Hair Masque (Retail Value $42) OR Murad Renewing Eye Cream (Retail Value $82)

Murad Renewing Eye Cream - Retail Value $82

Probably no surprise, but when given a choice between skincare and haircare, I'm going to pick the $82 eye cream every time! (I love that this item alone is worth way more than the cost of the entire box!)

This cream is designed to help firm, brighten, and hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes (it's made for sensitive skin). It's a rich cream, but it absorbs relatively quickly, and you can use it for both day and night. It's gentle + hydrating - my skin is drinking it up!

Now, here are two choice items in the box for all annual subscribers. (If you are a quarterly subscriber, FabFitFun will pick for you).

You will receive: Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-In-1 Mascara (Retail Value $23) OR Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost (Retail Value $39)

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost (Retail Value $39)

So even if you don't upgrade to an annual to pick which tarte item you want - you really can't go wrong. Both of these items are fantastic. (The mascara is my holy grail mascara formula - I can't recommend it enough.) But, let me focus on this treat of a moisturizer:

This is a gel formula that feels light in weight but heavy in moisture - it lives up to the name "drink of H20." I applied this before my makeup this morning and loved how hydrated and dewy my skin felt - it's now officially a part of my morning beauty routine. (And it smells fantastic, too!)

You will receive: This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (Retail Value $29) OR Ahava Dermud Intensive Foot Cream (Retail Value $29)

Ahava Dermud Intensive Foot Cream (Retail Value $29)

I've sampled Ahava hand creams before (excellent formulas) and this foot cream lives up to my expectations!

As you can tell from the picture, this is a thick, super-moisturizing cream. The scent is fab, and the formula is surprisingly non-greasy for such a rich cream! (I put this on after the shower then wore socks for the night to reveal softer feet in the morning, but the overnight treatment isn't necessary - I'm sure I'll use this daily as well when we hit sandal-season!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $293. Amazing! I think this may be the best Editor's Box FabFitFun has ever done (and judging by the comments on the spoiler post for this box, it seems like a lot of MSA readers agree!) And if you use the $20 coupon below, you get this box for only $29.99 - that's $3.75 an item!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes!

FLASH SALE - Use coupon code MSA40 to save $20 off of your first FabFitFun box! (You'll be able to customize the box AFTER you purchase it.)

I FINALLY on 5/7 received a shipping confirmation that my box which I ordered on 4/3 will be here on 5/10. It’s about time!! I’ve decided to give them one more try even though I’m not crazy about the summer selections so far I love the sales, and it’s worth it for those. I just hope things work out better this time.

Reply ButtonReply

Marshana Farrar

I just subscribed on May 1st and received an email that an Editors Box shipped out today, will I recieve the Summer Box in June?

Reply ButtonReply

JennO

I ordered mine on 4/3, and I keep getting the run around. They all keep telling me about a label problem, even though there were plenty of females who ordered their boxes at the end of April and got theirs before either one of us. I too am hoping the same thing doesn’t go for the summer box because this is ridiculous.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I ordered mine on 4/3 too! I just got off the phone with FFF CS. They said the warehouse is still processing the order. She submitted it to reprocess (same customizations, add ons, etc), but it will game another 2 weeks. It’s so frustrating.

I opened a second account to get the Spring Editors box, I was actually more excited for it than for the original spring box. I can’t cancel that subscription until after I receive shipment notification. I guess I’ll be getting 2 summer boxes now, I don’t mind so much but my bank account will.

JennO

Did anyone else order from the edit sale, and have those items ship but not the box itself? I’m wondering because this is what’s happened to me, and I am trying to figure out if it’s normal.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

Hi, Just curious, did you ever receive your Editor’s box? I ordered on April 2nd and still have not received the box…
Very disappointed in FFF’s slow shipping!

Reply ButtonReply

Rochelle

I still haven’t received my editor’s box nor my edit sale items. My account says I ordered on 4/5.

Serina

Just wanted to add that I ordered April 1st and my box hasn’t even shipped yet. I know people frequently have problems with edit sale orders taking a long time to ship but I’ve never had to wait this long for a box to ship. I’m getting nervous, so I’m glad I’m not alone and they just seem to be having slow shipping for this edit box in general. Hopefully they ship all of ours soon!

Trish

I received my Editor’s box and Add Ons the same day in different boxes. I got a shipping notice about the box but never did about the AddOns.

Flora

Just received my edit sale items today but still no Editor’s box. I also signed up on April 2 and purchased 1 add-on with the sub.

Jamie

I too ordered on the 2nd and it still saying processing. Super slow shipping. =(

JennO

The only thing that I have received is what I bought in the edit sale. I have not received my editors box yet no.

Rochelle

Yes. Same here.

Reply ButtonReply

emiemi

Yes me to same.

Lola

I got my box and am so happy. The sunglasses are actually great quality and aren’t too big- they’re a smaller aviator style and work well for me. I love everything. I had been hoping for the mascara but got the moisturizer and am so glad I did- it’s a treat.

Ordered on the 2nd and received the box today.

Getting the foot cream 🙁 Hope someone will trade me for the pillow spray! I do not use foot cream.

Reply ButtonReply

Tessa

I just received my box and the DIFF sunglasses are so nice!! If that was the only thing I got for the $30 I spent I would be pleased. They’re heavy and actually look good on me (a miracle because my ears are crooked!)

I received the DIFF sunglasses, Murad eye cream, opal necklace, tarte moisturizer, sleep spray, body lotion, trinket dish, and cuticle oil. Completely stoked!

Reply ButtonReply

JennO

Does anyone know when this will ship? I’m thrilled to be getting it, I’d just like to know when to expect it.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

I ordered on the first and it hasn’t shipped. Their shipping process makes no sense. I wish I could cancel my order.

Reply ButtonReply

Rochelle

I ordered on the 5th and mine still hasn’t shipped yet. I ordered it for a few things for my daughter’s Easter basket and it still says processing. I’m going to call on Monday and try to cancel my order. After this weekend I won’t need any of it.

LisaFalana

Got mine today.

Reply ButtonReply

Chalsey

Ordered on the 2nd and mine is arriving today.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Same here, I ordered mine on the 4th and it’s still in processing.

Reply ButtonReply

Abby

Super happy with my editors box, got the moisturizer and the pillow spray, the two I was hoping for! I didnt love the first two sets of selections, went to with sunglasses and necklace, but who knows maybe I will love them. Got the box because I really wanted that trinket dish, but with the pillow spray and moisturizer, it was a great deal and I’m stoked about that body lotion since I didnt get it in my spring box!

Shari

I signed up 4 or 5 days ago…received no email….It sows I have no subscription on website, yet money has cleared on my credit card. Very weird!

Reply ButtonReply

kathy

that happened to me too. Can you log into their website – I could not
I figured that I had a typo in my e-mail address when I signed up
I e-mailed cs, and they fixed quickly

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I had canceled my annual, but so glad I signed up for this Editor’s Box. I got the make-up bag, the Venus bag which is meh, and the Murad- the whole reason I ordered the box. I crossed my fingers on the rest and they’re sending me the Tarte hydration deal and the foot cream- I AM ECSTATIC.

Reply ButtonReply

kathy

I would trade my tarte hydration for the pillow spray if anyone is interested
thanks

Reply ButtonReply

Johanna

Hi Ann, I am hoping to get the Tarte mascara and the pillow spray, and I see you want the hydration moisturizer and the foot cream. If I happen to get those, would you want to trade?

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

I am so grateful for all your comments and finding out that I could just order it from the shop. I was bummed that I didn’t see anything in the edit and then I read the comments!!! 50 bucks for glasses, necklace, eye cream AND all the other stuff….thrilled!!!

Reply ButtonReply

erikaerose

SO excited to receive this box! I think I like it better than the Spring box even! I am so glad they had the option for the Aviator glasses. I chose the other ones for the Spring box and while I love them, I admit to being VERY torn over which style to choose. I’m also thrilled I received the foot cream and tarte moisturizer….not to mention how my poor, thirsty cuticles and nails are gonna thank me for that serum!

Reply ButtonReply

Coco

I’m a current seasonal subscriber, and ordered this last night through my account and Shop. I got all my choices except the foot cream (which I knew was already sold out). Glad I didn’t wait, because I got my other choices (train case, eyeshadow palette, Murad eye cream, and Tarte moisturizer), and now the box is sold out. This box is a great value!

Interesting that lately the Editor’s boxes have been better than the regular boxes. Is that to entice current members to buy both boxes each season? Hmmmm.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathy

Hi
Not sold out I just ordered the box! Yeah

Reply ButtonReply

Coco

Oh good, glad I was wrong about that! It’s showing as out of stock on the Edit Sale page, but not in Shop.

Liz P

Anyone want to trade the spray for the foot cream? My box shows at arriving on Wednesday April 10th!

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

Hurrah! The reveal reveals that I get the moisturizer (not clumpy mascara) and the foot cream (not the spray, which I’ve tried and don’t like)! This is my first FFF box. So great. Seriously considering NOT canceling after I get the box. What a great deal. This newbie is very happy.

Reply ButtonReply

christina p

Anyone have any luck with them sending out a replacement item? I chatted with CS right after I signed up to change the beach towel to the sunglasses. My box shipped with the towel 😞 I did a chat and the rep said they would ship the glasses within 2 weeks…

Reply ButtonReply

Flora

Me too!

Reply ButtonReply

Ksenia

I’ve always had great experiences with them sending out replacements when something was damaged.

Reply ButtonReply

Virginia

The two items that monthly subscribers could not choose might be a problem for me. I do not wear mascara and I have gotten the night time spray before and I cannot use the scent but my poor dry feet could use the foot cream. I hope I get at least one of the two I want if not both.

Reply ButtonReply

Marsay

I just messaged them and they said that the linen spray and mascara is whatvis available between those four choices now.

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

Hi, this is the first box I have ever ordered and have a question. My box has shipped and my reveal showed that I’m getting the spray but I chose the foot cream while chatting with a customer representative. Has this happened to anyone? If I got the wrong item will they do anything about it and send me the correct one or they’ll just say “oh well”?

Reply ButtonReply

Gabrielle De Bellefeuille

I’ve had great experiences with their customer service. They have fixed something like this in the past for me, as well as have replaced an item that was missing from the box, no questions asked. THey are great!

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

Thank you! I live chatted with a CS representative and they’re sending me the foot cream within 2 weeks and letting me keep the spray that’s alrwady in my box. Great CS service!

Carmen

I just received shipping information and I am beyond happy with the choices FFF made for me. The reveal shows that I will get the tarte hydrating boost and foot cream. I was hoping for these items 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Marcia

I am a quarterly member and just ordered the Editor’s Box through after logging in and going to the Shop section. I was given the option to customize all 5 items – luckily, just the foot cream was sold out. I really wanted the sunglasses and eye cream so I’m happy I was able to order in time.

Reply ButtonReply

kristen

I just ordered based on your post that I could customize all 5 items but it did not let me do that. I only got to pick 3. I’m hoping I don’t get the mascara and pillow spray. I have those things already. Fingers crossed!

Reply ButtonReply

Marcia

That’s very strange – so I would email Custoner Service and ask about the other 2 items – others did what I did and also were able to chose all 5. However, since the foot cream was sold out, it defaulted to the spray.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your box 🙂

Taren

Annual member…. question: if I just want to buy some of the add ons as an annual member & don’t necessarily want the editors box am I allowed to just buy other things in the shop?

Reply ButtonReply

nonya

You can buy anything listed in the shop, you don’t have to purchase a box to do so. You do need to purchase at least $25 worth to get free shipping though.

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

Thank you Very much, I wasn’t sure!

ChristineD

Unfortunately, you can’t add anything on as a pre-existing annual subscriber. I chatted with FFF today, and as a current annual subscriber I only had 2 ways of purchasing anything from the Editors box…1) Buy the whole box from the Edit Sale with only the first 2 categories customizable or 2) Buy the box when logged into your account on the Fabfitfun website under the Shop section at the top. If you purchase from the shop, as an Annual you can customize all 5 items but don’t have the option to add extra items for the $10 each. I was told that the extra add-on option was only available for new subscribers. I don’t remember seeing anything from the Editors box listed individually in the Edit sale…but if you even like 2-3 items in the Editors box,it is cheaper to buy the whole box anyway as the price of similar items in the Editors sale would cost you more given recent increased pricing. That is what I ended up doing!

Reply ButtonReply

nonya

I don’t think that is what she is asking. I think she is asking can she just buy other items listed currently listed in the shop without buying the editor’s box, to which the answer is yes. Need to purchase a minimum of $25 to get free shipping though.

Amanda

When do the Editor boxes usually ship? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Kathy

Try logging into your account. I think it was under orders, I could see that it shipped and it allows you to track it right there

Reply ButtonReply

JennO

I finally heard back from them, and I thought what I was told was very strange. I was told that they were waiting on the courier to pick up the boxes, but they had no idea when any individual box would ship. I do and have done quite a bit of business online and that’s something I have never heard. I’m not quite sure what to think honestly.

Chalsey

Ordered on the 2nd and my box is out for delivery today!

Reply ButtonReply

JennO

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I just want to make sure, did you order any add ons or anything from the edit sale? I would guess not, but I don’t like making assumptions.

V

I ordered my box on Tuesday April 2nd and it shipped on April 4th.

Reply ButtonReply

Flora

Lucky! I ordered on Tuesday 2nd as well but still have not received a shipping notice. I like the edit boxes more than the regular (got Winter 2018 and then stuck around for the edit sale before canceling). Now I ordered this and also have over $300 in this edit sale too…ouch!

Victoria

I came here to ask the same thing; I ordered my box yesterday, but not sure what the shipping timeline is for editor boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I want to know too!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Bry

I want to order the box, but I’m scared that I’ll pay for it only to find out the choices I want aren’t available.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Nicole, I ordered this afternoon and all of the choices were available to me. I was worried too because someone commented that they couldn’t get what they wanted. Nothing showed as unavailable to me. Hmmm 🤔

Reply ButtonReply

ChristineD

Marie, I had problems Monday trying to purchase as it told me everything was sold out. Others were having success which didn’t make sense. After chatting with FFF, I found out they had a glitch in their website for existing subscribers that was showing everything sold out when it actually wasn’t. They ended up asking for my customizations for all5 categories and processed the order for me. The site may be fixed now…
