Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Trunk Club Plus Clothing March 2019 Review
So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected several items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! There is also an option to allow your stylist to send a few surprise pieces.
This packet was included in my trunk.
The front of the enclosed booklet now has instructions!
Inside is usually a note from my stylist, but this month it seemse to be a bit of a generic greeting.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep.
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
V-Neck Tee by BP - Cost to keep $15 (currently out of stock)
Fifteen dollars? SOLD! This cotton knit tee is perfect for the coming warmer months. I love the royal blue color and the open neckline, and the cut is perfect. What more could I ask for at this price?
311 Shaping Skinny Jeans by Levi's - Cost to keep $89.50
Call me old-school if you must, but I love a good pair of Levi's. The thing that I think impresses me most about Levi's jeans is that they are a classic, but they remain relevant after all these years! The wash on these jeans is ideal, the length is great, and the denim has just enough of a spandex content to feel perfect and supportive. They are flattering, too!
Shirred Detail Print Blouse by Lucky Brand - Cost to keep $59.50 (found on sale here for $$33.32)
I usually completely love everything from Lucky Brand, but I am not wild about this top. It is a super comfortable cotton blend knit, but somehow it just looks and feels like a pajama top on me. It must be the print. It would be a super cute pajama top, but I am not really in the market for that right now.
Border Print Top by Lucky Brand - Cost to keep $79.50 (currently sold out)
Here we go! This is what I think of when I think of Lucky Brand! It's an innovative yet flattering cut with a funky design. I love the fluttering border, and the print is perfect. I am a big fan of yellow this season, but I have a hard time finding the right shade of yellow to wear. This top is ideal because it has yellow in the print, but it is not the dominant color. It's 100% rayon and feels amazing. This is perfect for spring and summer!
Amie Waterfall Cardigan by Bobeau - Cost to keep $68
I am also loving all shades of teal and turquoise this season, and I love the rich teal shade of this viscose blend cardigan. It is also really warm and cozy, which would be awesome if it was January or February, but it is about to get super hot here in Georgia for the next six months. I'm afraid I will have to pass on this one.
Flutter Sleeve Midi dress by Leith - Cost to keep $69
I appreciate the very reasonable price point for this lovely polyester spring dress, but that's about the only thing I like about it, unfortunately. I think it would work on someone else, but the color and the cut are all wrong for me. It is really unflattering on me. I took a picture of the back, which is really cool as it has a big open space between the waist and the shoulders, but it looked really bad on me so I excluded it from the review. This one is a big miss for me, I'm afraid.
Satin Jacquard Tie Neck Top by CeCe - Cost to keep $79
I absolutely love the color of this polyester satin jacquard top! I think, however, that the fabric will make it too warm to wear here through most of the spring. It's a shame, too, because I think the tassels are really cool.
Ponte Ankle Trousers by Rebel Wilson X Angels - Cost to keep $98
I really want to love Rebel Wilson's clothing line because I totally appreciate all she does to forward a positive body image for plus sized women! Unfortunately, I have been a little underwhelmed by most styles in her line, and the cut is usually not right for my body type. These polyester/spandex blend pants are generally fine, but they don't feel as comfortable as I would like at this price point.
Opulent Hammered Satin Wrap Style Dress by City Chic - Cost to keep $109
This polyester satin dress is just gorgeous! It just feels so luxe! The color is also amazing. But honestly, does it look like I am wearing a super expensive bathrobe? I kind of feel that way. Also, the fabric will be too warm for spring here. I think I have to pass on this one.
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! This month was a mixture of hits and misses, which is to be expected, particularly because I requested to change stylists recently. My favorite pieces this month were the short sleeved Lucky top and the Levi'. Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces!
To Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: This box cost $25 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the 9 items inside is $666.50. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep anything, the $25 cost of the box would also be applied toward the purchase. That is an average of $74.06 per item, which is on par with the brands included.
