Pet Treater Cat Pack May 2019 Review
I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:
There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker. Sometimes there is also product literature.
Multipet Yarn Mouse with Feather Tail x 2 – Total Retail Value $3.98 ($1.99 each, found here for $0.99 each)
Madison showed some interest in these (I guess the catnip is good) but I really think Angus is going to be the one to play with them the most. I will probably start finding them downstairs by the end of the week (this is what he does at night while we are sleeping).
Toyshoppe Playables Kitty Swat Exerciser
I spent a long time looking for this online and only found a wholesale site where I couldn’t log in and see the MSRP. You will see the whole item out of the package in the cat pictures below. There is a weighted, carpet-covered base, a long spring, and a fluffy ball with a bell on top. Pretty much all the cats thought the fluffy ball was interesting.
Buddy Biscuits in Tempting Tuna (3 oz) – Retail Value $3.95 (found here for $3)
These are semi-moist treats and all three of my cats who can have them thought they were great. They do have kind of a strong smell but it’s not too fishy. They are made in the USA and come in a resealable bag. Also, they are grain free. These were definitely a win.
Gratuitous cat photos:
Angus didn’t want to get near me so these were the best photos I got. (I took him to the vet the morning I took these, to get a weight. He is down to 13.7 pounds so he only needs to lose about another half pound, according to the vet.)
Here is the swat toy out of the package. Madison was also interested in the treats.
Monkey is not usually interested in treats. However, he is working on a massive hairball so he doesn’t eat much of his food but he is hungry (if that makes sense). These treats really appealed to him today and so far he has kept them down. (We just did a major brushing and got out a lot of hair and we will keep doing that every day for a while now.)
Most of my pictures of Sneaky are blurry and partial because she was so focused on getting treats. (She also went to the vet today, for her annual exam and shots and bloodwork and urinalysis and an EKG. She is probably going to start needing heart medication in 6 months or so but she is good for now.)
Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the May 2019 Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding one of the items online. The treats and toy mice add up to $7.93, leaving about $7.07 for the kitty swat exercise toy, which seems reasonable. This was a pretty good month in terms of getting several different toy types and the treats were a huge hit (and are good until sometime next year).
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’d receive June’s package as your first shipment. Also, there may be some variation among boxes sent during the same month.
Value Breakdown: At $15 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately $5 per item (counting the mice as one item).
