Still waiting for my last box to ship.
I’m happy with the madeleines and mask. I’m not really a fan of any of the patterns on the plates I’d like them better without the wording. I agree with others that they’re touristy. Also one plate is odd especially with them being so small, just over 6 inches. One larger plate could maybe be used a a serving dish.
Waiting for more spoilers. Fingers crossed there’s something great coming up.

I would just love the receive the last box I ordered! It supposedly shipped July 8 but has not moved. I’ve sent 3 emails so far with no reply. My order is marked as complete!! I thought they were doing better lately so I took a leap of faith and ordered the last box. Big mistake I guess.

My box shipped almost immediately and only had to wait 3 days to receive it. I think they have a stock issue because they contacted me saying my selection wasn’t available and kindly gave me other options. The girl was really nice and honest about it, so I appreciated that. My only problem with this box is these spoilers… was expecting a lot more.

I’m in the same boat as far as no June box yet. I replied to the last spoiler email and got a response. They said they are waiting on a shipment of espadrilles, and those will hopefully arrive this week or next week. It seems a bit disingenuous of them to print shipping labels and send us tracking numbers when they knew perfectly well our orders weren’t ready to go out.

Oh goodness…it looks like they’re stealing a page out of FFF’s playbook! Ugh…

rembole

I’m so glad you at least got a response back!! Seems like an email should go out to those of us waiting on the espadrilles. I totally agree it was extremely disingenuous to send us shipping emails knowing the boxes weren’t shipping. I just don’t understand.

Mary

Oh whoops. I mistyped. It wasn’t a spoiler email. I replied to the email I got stating my next order had processed.

Karen

So, this is a $150 box. So far their lackluster spoilers, the items that are supposed to reel in new subscribers or get their current subscribers extra pumped up, have a combined retail value of $45.

Plate $15
Madeleines $8
Face masks $22

Hmmmm. Interesting spoiler strategy.

I’m hopeful they can pull a rabbit out of their hat and plan to include something else that is absolutely fabulous (which they inexplicably chose not to spoil). Otherwise, yikes.

Very dissapointed.. I subscribed for last box (was awesome). And I thought this was going to be my favorite box… but this selection of products is so meh. Definitely not paying this much. So far, don’t like it.

I have to agree, so far this box looks terrible. A plate? A single dessert plate in English? Some cookies and heck the first spoiler was so easily forgettable, I can’t even remember what it was…..

I hope this picks up because this isn’t looking anything like that last box which was really great.

The coupon code “OUIBASTILLE” no longer works. I tried it at 10:30PM ET on July 22 with no luck on any of the subscription options. Just FYI.

AH

I was really pleased with the most recent box…but so far this one is shaping up to be a total bust. And it appears we get ONE plate only…seriously? I just found these online…they are dessert plates, sold individually for 15 Euros each (so just under $17 apiece at current exchange.) What the heck do we do with one dessert plate??

I have the same question, why only one plate? That seems silly. I guess if you are planning on displaying it, maybe, but I think these are very small plates, so that seems silly, too. I would love it if there was a set of 4, then I could actually use them!

SKD

One plate. Really? One plate?!? Cancelling.

Karen

I hate to criticize…but I can’t really help myself…

I feel like all three of these items are things my over-worked and over-tired husband might have mindlessly purchased for me from the Paris Airport on his way home from a long business trip because he felt like he had to get me “something” during his 30 seconds of down time. (Sigh….). As others have said, I’m betting you’d be hard pressed to find any Parisian women who outfit their homes and kitchens with these items.

Also, I’m not a fan of receiving only one plate. Ever. I feel like I’m pretty far passed the days when I would open my cupboard to a pile of mis-matched dishware. (There was a time though when my kitchen was full of an enviable collection of free glasses from the gas station and enormous plastic “big gulp” cups from 7-11…ahhhh, those were fun days actually!)

Oh well, so far this Oui Please box isn’t knocking my socks off. It’s kind of a bummer since I felt like they’d been on a roll lately. Oh well. Maybe the next box will be better.

AH

Haha Karen you completely hit the nail on the head! Completely seems like stuff from the airport tourist shop!

Tammy

Oh, God, what the hell is going on, Oui Please? The last two boxes were FABULOUS, and everything in this box so far looks like what I’d end up with if you blindfolded me at TJMaxx and told me that I could keep whatever I could grab.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

Ha! That actually made me laugh out loud! I totally agree.

I suppose you could use the plate as a frisbee.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

The bird plate is cute, but definitely more tourist than authentic French culture. I’m really hoping this box picks up a bit.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

To me the Cocorico plate looks like a chicken sharting fireworks, but this only makes me want it more.

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

LOL, can’t unsee it. I wanted that one anyway. Yep, want it more now.

Jessica Gandy

These are touristy – and a bit weird. They’re in English. But, the maker appears to be a French company and the colors are lovely. I’d happily swap for a few more of them! If anyone wants any of the skincare from the recent box in exchange for their plate, please let me know. 😉

Julia

Somehow I doubt that the French dine on kitschy touristy plates that say in English “from Paris” and “French kiss”. Some tourist trap unloaded its unsold merchandise on Oui Please.

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

I think it’s just one. The email refers to it in the singular – receive your dish.

Reply ButtonReply

Marcy

I thought this box was supposed to be products the French people embrace so far these spoilers look like products the French people laugh at American tourists for getting these plates look especially touristy I have a hard time picturing families in provenance or Reims sitting around the table eating off of these

Kelly

I like this, but I’m confused since it says we get to customize with our choice of design. Do we get a set of 4 of our pick or just one dish?
