I just got my box and I’m quite happy actually. The quality of the vase is stellar, heavy and solid, not a single bud vase. The candles smell great, I especially like the woodsy one. I’m not subscribing moving forward yet due to lack of consistency in past boxes, but I’ll be keeping my eye out. I wish once the spoilers were revealed we could order that particular box, it’s too expensive to gamble on hoping you’ll like the items.

Was the Illuminating product boxed/sealed?

This is my last box from the gilt city deal and I’m going out with a bang. With exception of the beauty products (which I’m not usually a fan of regardless of the box), I like everything. But the new price is ridiculous, and as others have stated, so easy to put together something similar on my own at a much lower price.

So, I won’t be subscribing going forward, and will stick with Popsugar and Causebox, which I’ve been pretty consistently happy with for much less $

I want nothing to do with ANY company that uses the term ‘vegan leather’ and then has the balls to say it has an some outrageous value (for plastic?!!) Name the material- they can’t call it plastic & then say it’s worth $195 – it’s actually worth 5.95. Ugh!

I got my box today. Have to say, I actually like it, just wish that it is at the older price sub than now.

The vase is actually good size. I don’t know why they called it bud vase. The candles are ok, always handy to have around. The cuff look classic on my wrist.

The skin care stuff, not too crazy.

The bag, well, I am not sure yet. I like the earrings holder and I know I can use that. I could see it as a jewelry travel case, if I’m bringing that much jewelry with me. I could see it as a going out bag since pouch are a little flat on me. Can’t decide yet.

I may take a chance on the next box. The customer service help me resolve a billing issue last month, with respect and curtesy. I may not be their target market segment, income bracket wise, but I do think it serve a different niche here.

Eek. I got LXMI (and last box’s Ettika jewelry) in my SinglesSwag sub, which is 1/4 the price? I should cancel Luxor already, nothing really “luxurious” anymore 🙁 🙁

Love the bracelet. Wouldn’t use, and don’t need, any of the rest.

I like the candles and I think the vase is pretty but also sounds very small. The “vegan leather” jewelry box is well, what can I say that others have not already.

It’s cute and and vase is really pretty but for 175 all of this can be put together for cheaper and I don’t feel any theme or reason for this collection.

Louise

That LXMI is available on Ipsy regularly. I do like it though.

Bud vase is pretty, but they are niche, not everyone uses them, and also small.

What planet would I pay $175 for some candles and some Shea butter with some costume jewelry and a worthless dop kit? Sorry; but hard pass.

Love the vase. Aside from the make up bag, that’s actually a pretty solid box.

This hardly ever happens, but I love the whole box! I can’t remember the last time I was so thrilled! (And I’m comparing this to all my other subs, too.)

That balm to oil is one of my faves. I’m stoked about everything here but the bag.

I don’t like how they make it seem by taking out the inserts the bag is a cross body. I looked the bag up and it is described as a jewelry case in the description. It is a lovely jewelry case, but I would prefer it to be leather and an actual purse. Everything else is lovely, but not worth the cost to me.

Much better than the last box. Happy about the candles and I’ll use the bracelet and vase. This is my last box and I’ll just buy them individually as I like since there was too much disappointment with previous boxes

Why do I always come here? I guess I’ll never know. It’s like a kind of torture… to expect Luxor’s value to show.

Some lovely spoilers, but I don’t believe I’ll ever be ok with the term “vegan leather”. It’s pleather. It’s plastic/petroleum and there’s no such thing as “ethically sourced vegan leather” as you cannot ethically source petroleum/ plastics. Besides that, there’s honestly a few nice gifts and items in this box. The bracelet is not my taste, but the candle, matches, vase and LXMI are lovely. These would also make nice gifts.

Daisy

Yes!!! If it want a plastic bag, I’ll pick one up for under $50. $195 my rear! The rest of the box looks nice but the hero item is seriously lacking.

Reply ButtonReply

Hannah

Agreed! I’m so over people trying to make plastic sound fancy by calling it vegan leather. Vegan leather is not a thing! It’s over priced plastic!

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

Exactly! I’m so tired of companies ditching real leather, which is sustainable (and will last a lifetime when properly crafted and cared for), for cheap plastic crap! It does nothing but weaken the brand as far as I’m concerned..

Mel

THIS! I was just about to comment on the “ethically sourced vegan leather” which is not an actual thing!

Daniela

Taren, 100% agree on the vegan leather comment. It’s annoying and pretentious. And once you trace back petroleum far enough, it’s no longer vegan. So let’s just call it fake leather, for pete’s sake!
