Pet Treater Cat Pack November 2019 Review
I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:
There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker. Sometimes there is also product literature although this month there wasn’t.
Kerchief
For awhile, we were getting little kitty costumes instead of kerchiefs, and I am all about that. Plus, this doesn't really have long-term value because it is just a piece of fabric cut from a bolt of cloth, not an item with finished edges, so it will start to fray before too long. Anyway, the kerchiefs seem to be the way Pet Treater is going so just be aware of that.
Mat with Mouse in Hole
This did not have any packaging or brand name (just a label with material composition) and my attempts to Google it based on description alone did not work. So I really have no idea how much it is worth. It has some crinkly paper stuff inside it so it makes a noise when the cat walks on it, and in that little hole above the cat's head is a mouse toy attached by a string, which really only Madison could figure out.
Thanksgiving Salmon Treats
These are made for Pet Treater by a white label manufacturer so you can't buy them anywhere. I'm not sure what salmon has to do with Thanksgiving but Sneaky really liked them, anyway. Angus wanted some (badly) but he can't have them because of his IBD.
Ourpets Catnip Dispensing Dice - Retail Value $13.15
At first I couldn't figure out how you got the catnip in these so the picture of an open one is from later on, when the solution became more apparent after taking them off the backing card. If you squeeze (they're vinyl), you can open it up and put catnip in. The cats couldn't get the catnip out by rolling the toys, but they could smell it, and that worked just about as well.
Gratuitous cat photos:
Angus with the mat.
Angus learns to rub his face on things (an important old man kitty skill).
Angus really wanted these and I felt so bad that I couldn't give him any.
Madison has really not been interested in having his photo taken lately. Probably I have put him in too many costumes or something. I did get a few shots of him.
Monkey's deal is rubbing his face on things. He's also easy to "dress up." So here he is, rubbing his face (or teeth) on things and modeling the kerchief.
I tricked Sneaky into the kerchief by tying it on her while she was eating a pile of treats. (The second and third picture are from like a split second after she ate treats. She is FAST when food is involved.)
Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the November 2019 Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding some of the items online. There were four items, though, which makes the average price per item about $3.75. I am a little disappointed that we're back to the hand-cut fabric from the bolt as an item because while I understand kerchiefs for dogs, that's not something people usually do for cats. But I'd say that, on average, this is about what you can expect from a Pet Treater Cat Pack shipment, and the toys were well-liked.
