Pet Treater Cat Pack February 2020 Review

I used to find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker. Sometimes there is also product literature although this month there wasn’t.

On to the items:

Kerchief

Pet Treater has been sending out a lot of kerchiefs lately. My cats don't regularly wear kerchiefs, to be honest, that seems more of a dog thing. Actually, this kerchief may be for a dog, it is quite large (for reference, Monkey is a very long cat). At least the edges are finished so it should last a bit longer than some of the ones we've received in previous months.

Ourpets Cat Toy Razzles

I can't find these for sale online. I can find the dog toy version, but those are much larger and not useful for a value estimate. This has a canvas-like texture that Monkey thought was pretty great, while some of the other cats enjoyed the feathers. This is a bit small for wrestling but could still work for that in some circumstances.

Ourpets Cat Toy Tootsie Roll

As with the Razzles toy, I could find the dog version online but not the cat version. This has a rope in the end and also has a canvas-like texture, but as it is somewhat smaller, it is a good size for tossing around.

Just for Us Kitty Paw Paw Print Cozy Socks - Buy 6 pairs for $25 (found here for $10.95)

The dog version of Pet Treater usually includes an item for people but the cat version usually doesn't They made an exception this time with this pair of sleep socks. These are warm and they do fit (I wear a women's size 7 so most socks from subscription boxes fit well) but be careful handling them because the weave of the fabric doesn't seem top quality.

It's Purely Natural 100% Pure Dried Buffalo (2 oz) - Retail Value $3.99

These are dried meat strips and they are super tough. The cats really can't eat it unless you break it up into tiny pieces first. But then Sneaky always gulps it down and throws it back up. So I just don't let my cats have treats like this any longer. I did get some good pictures of Sneaky biting it. But dried meat is not usually a hit with my crew and this was no exception.

Here are some cat pictures for you:

Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the February Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding some of the items online. There were five items so each has an average value of about $3. I like the socks and the cats like the two toys, so that's good. I am not so into the kerchiefs for cats (would rather have a costume, even a cheap one) and the treats were not a success, so this month was a little bit of a mixed bag for us.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first pack will ship immediately filled with the most popular fan favorites. Also, there may be some variation among boxes sent during the same month.

Value Breakdown: At $15 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately $3 per item.

The kerchief makes no sense for cats. They could simply use a different material and make it a cat blanket. Angus is looking sleek! So glad he is looking better. Love your review and your beautiful clowder.

Once or twice they’ve put in an inexpensive cat costume, like a hat or a cape, and it makes so much more sense to do something like that, than a kerchief. It doesn’t have to cost a lot because really, what cat is going to wear something like that for more than 2 minutes for pictures?

My guess is the same kerchiefs are going in the dog box. The last few dog boxes I got before Nyx passed away had kerchiefs that were too small for a Rottweiler neck.
