Every month, I send them email to opt out blush and mascara（got balm blush last month), they reply, apologize and promise do better next month!!! No surprise I got another blush palette and another full size mascara! Fooled me again. So glad I paused GBP and GB.

Pretty grumpy with Ipsy lately. I’m opted out of mascara and eyeliner. I don’t wear eyeliner and have more mascara than I can ever use. This month I got mascara in ultimate and liner in plus. I purposely didn’t choose anything this month because I wanted the algorithm to do its thing. I got an eyeliner in my Februray plus too. I was told that even though I was opted out I could still get those items. So no point even complaining again.

I am stoked to be getting the GBU this go around, I skipped last month and only got the GBP but decided to get both this month because of the spoilers. The GBU is definitely not a disappointment this time, my GBP is pretty great too. I had updated my preferences days ago and really upped how much I wanted skincare as opposed to makeup, and they delivered on this month! I’m so excited, I can hardly wait to receive my bags! I also took advantage of all the add-ons so I’m getting 10 extra products. Since quarantine I’ve been doing nothing but taking care of my skin and only put on makeup once, so the skincare is definitely a win-win for me! Thank you so much Ipsy!

Sounds great! I have been doing ALOT of extra skincare since this lockdown thing started as well as wearing a full face of makeup daily and reorganizing my makeup and skincare collection and watching tons of YouTube beauty shop my stash, collection and declutter videos! Enjoying myself since I am a homebody at heart anyway and don’t work outside the home.

The only thing I would change is getting one of the Il Makiage liners (finally not black!!!) instead of the mascara, but I’m def not mad. Also, I think this is only 7 full size, but 🤷‍♀️

Wow! You got an excellent box you lucky lady! I didn’t subscribe to Ultimate because I already get three glam bags and two glam bag plus but your Ultimate makes me think about it. Do you also get plus or regular bag and if so were there any duplicates?

This was my first Ultimate bag. I’m super happy with it. I did get the eye shadow pallet (hadn’t updated my opt-outs), and I don’t wear eye shadow. I love how colorful it is though, so i looked it up and it seems eye shadow can be turned into art paint. Has anyone tried this?

Yes! I use it often in my art! You’ll just have to use a fixative to set it. I buy palettes on the add ons and pop ups specifically for this, and not my face!

Thank you so much! So with the fixative method, you just use it as is then spray the fixative…no need to mix it with anything?

I just started getting crafty and subscribed to a mixed media/scrapbook/junk journal box (Dannagirl’s Designs on Cratejoy) and asked the owner, Hannah, how to make paint with it. She said to mix It with school glue and she’d be doing a tutorial soon.

So excited to use these palettes!

I realize the LaVida mask is stuck down with the samples but is full sized, but I’m still only counting 7 true full sized products.

Are they counting the Kensie perfume as full size? It’s a small “purse size spray”.

Yes, the Kensie is one of the “full” size, since Ipsy considers travel sizes to be full sizes.

There’s no way any of the bottom five are full size?

Maybe the eye cream is full size, those are pretty small usually? Makes me want to subscribe to Ultimate but I already get so many plus Boxycharm!

Bag twins.
I’m not thrilled about that Kensie perfume being counted as full sized, either. Other than that, this bag has an assortment of products I can definitely use and some I am looking forward to trying (looking at you, Yensa CBD oil cleanser, and Verso dark spot corrector), some not so exciting but have possibilities and no real “bummers” (except possibly the perfume if it’s not my type of scent), so I’m a very happy lady with my Ultimate bag.
It almost makes up for my GBP which was awful with only two products being remotely useful for me. And a third straight month of a black eyeliner being one of my 5 items. They straight up ignore “opting out” of eyeliner. That Dutch Dirt mask has me intrigued, though, so hopefully not a total loss.

I recommend selling and buying on Mercari!! You can get anything you want from sub boxes for super cheap there.

Almost bag twins except I got the Goldfaden MD instead of the Ghost Hair Mask.

Probably one of the best bags so far for me! I wasn’t able to pick a choice for this bag so I’m happy I got the two things I wanted most which were the palette and Trestique minis.

Only thing I won’t use are the CBD oil and the Real Her cheek palette so I wish I had gotten the Ghost mask and the Verso!

Very happy with this! The only way it could possibly have been better is if I got the Pureheals toner instead of the lip scrub, and the Duft&Doft toner in place of one of the masks or perfume.

Fantastic Ultimate box! I sounds like most everyone got the same items in their Ultimate and there are not that many alternates which is great I might subscribe. Is it always worth the $50 and if you get glam bag or plus bag are there duplicates? I am just kind of worried about being overwhelmed with too many products at once but I do have three daughters!

Bag twins! My absolute best Ultimate bag ever. Maybe my best Ipsy bag period—in six+ years! The only miss for me was the second mask (I thought it odd to get 2 full size masks but oh well) because I don’t really use scrubs on my sensitive face. I wish I’d gotten the Ciate mascara instead. But only one miss out of the whole bag? HUGE win!
I also added the Christopher Robin scrub (fantastic product I add or buy at a discount whenever possible since it’s rather expensive and I use it regularly) and the Dry Touch SPF 50 Sunscreen. I was tempted to try the R&Co Gel Fragrance but $12 is too much if I didn’t like the scent.

I’m so happy to see Ipsy to be upping their game like this. If they keep it up I’ll gladly drop Boxy. I know Boxy sends a lot more makeup but I’m way more into skincare now. Especially now that I’m home every day.

Haha, we must have really similar tastes! I also got the sunscreen add-on & the CR scrub. (I also got the Hey Honey toner & the Nomad Eye shadow.)

I feel kinda weird about it since it’s a higher end brand for beauty boxes, but I’m pretty sure I will end up using the Cottage Greenhouse scrub on my body rather than my face!

I feel like the main challenge is battling FOMO, and only getting Ultimate if you really want several of the spoilers & would be OK about getting the rest of the spoilers, lol. Otherwise it just doesn’t seem worth it!

The Verso serum is a $150 product. That really helps make it a good bag!

Yes! It’s only half an ounce, but since it will be used as a spot treatment for tiny areas of my skin, it’s gonna last me FOREVER!

I was excited about my bag too until I realized once again I was shorted a full size product. The Kensie is not full size. It is not even an ounce.

Ipsy often considers travel size products to be full size. In this case, Ipsy has in the past sampled this brand with 10 ml sample sprays.

Since this one is 20 ml, I’m okay with it being considered full size. (Though I’d much rather have a sample from a different brand altogether, lol.)

If you got 7 full size items, please look at the value because most, like me who got ‘techinically’ 8, was short in value by $100. My last two full size items were again a single bronzer and blush totaling a $19 value. I would have happily traded in these two for one actual full sized items accesible in stores. Even though, I’m still finding a means to be happy and grateful for what I’m getting.
