FabKids (little sister brand to Fabletics and JustFab) is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the FabKids quiz for your child (for multiple children you can add a kid) to note their size and style preferences.
- Each month, FabKids releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your child's preferences which you can view in their personalized FabShop.
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $29.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

When you sign for FabKids, they will ask you a few questions about your child: their name, age, clothing size, favorite weekend activity, and which outfit you prefer out of a few options. This helps to personalize your child's "FabShop" each month. If you have multiple kids you are shopping for, there is an option to "add a kid."

This month I saw this plaid overshirt and knew my son would love it. He could use some new jeans, too so I saved $6.95 by purchasing it as an outfit. This shirt is a little bit thinner than I expected, but it will be perfect for layering which was why I got it. I thought it would be a cute way to add some warmth as we transition into cooler weather. He is pretty solidly in 4T and can get away with 5T tops, but I think this fits a little bit big. While the flannel is thin, the hood is a soft cotton material so it's a bit warmer.

Here is a closer look at the jeans. Inside they are actually really soft and they have an adjustable waistband which is good since these are definitely a bit big on him even though they are 4T. He has a very narrow waist, so this is normal for us. I am glad they are a little bit big because that gives him some room to grow, but the adjustable waistband means they aren't falling off of him.

Cool Cat Tee, Size XS (4T/5T) - Retail Value $22.00, VIP Cost $16.95 (This shirt is currently sold out!)
We had to add this cool tiger tee because it was unique and cute. He loves animals so this shirt is great for him. It's a decent quality tee and the graphic is really fun with the shimmery sunglasses. This one is an XS which is 4T/5T and it's a tad long on him, but it fits pretty true to size!
The Verdict: This wasn't our best FabKids box as far as value goes, but we got some staple pieces that my son loves and will definitely get some use out of. I'm also okay with paying a little bit more when it comes to him because I know that these will get passed down to his younger brother and get double the use! The total retail value of these items was $92 and the VIP price was $66.90, and I had a $15 off coupon so I ended up paying $54.64 after taxes (including $6.95 shipping).

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The plaid overshirt and pants are still available, but the tee is sold out.
Value Breakdown: The total retail price for everything is $92.00, but the VIP total is $66.90. That’s a VIP savings of about 27%. Since I paid sale prices my total was $54.64 which is a savings of about 41%!
