Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the October 2020 Glam Bag Ultimate!

I decided to splurge on Ultimate for October and November. Just got my October reveal. While decent, there are so many other items that better suited my profile. It confounds me. While I judge based on product suitability, the RV is a consideration. My Plus was valued well over $300. My Ultimate is a paltry $238 in comparison. I value the samples at $3 each, same as cost in add ons. I don’t believe I’m going to purchase November.

I adore barefoot venus! Skipped this month and that alone wouldn’t be worth the $50 lol, but I’m so excited that it might be an add-on in the future (as many bag items seem to become)

I have all three subs on one account and a cpl other accounts that are regular or plus just to see if the profiles are followed. Only one that absolutely was NOT, was my ultimate. The most expensive tier…… and I’m baffled. I’m not going to say that all the products picked for me were bad, but there were PLENT of items (full six and sample) that could’ve been selected to actually match my profile. This bag will be paused until I have a bit to much wine and click cancel on my $50 (plus tax) ultimate loss

I just got an email saying that Ipsy was adding 1200 points to my account due to getting matched with an item I recently received. They said this happened due to COVID-19 and a supply shortage of inventory! I got the Dr. Brandt Pore exfoliator last month and this month as well.

First I always am surprised when I see people have bad luck reaching IPSY CARE customer service. I usually get a response within 24 hours after I go through the robot question and then link to the e-mail. I have gotten duplicate products where they add 1200-1800 points to my account or if something arrives damaged I take pics and they are replaced. It does feel like a bit of a search and find to linkup to their customer service team and e-mail though…anyway, good luck and keep trying!

Well, my ULTIMATE bag reveal is rather similar to everyone that has listed their items. First I selected the Glow Recipe Watermelon toner (I missed that it was the 40ml vs full-size 150ml during choice time, ugh!) The different items I have are: Ciaté London Watermelon Lip Oil, Milk Makeup green stick mask, the Kiss SMINK in Tavarua, and the YENSA cleansing oil.

I actually REALLY loved my Ultimate bag the past handful of months. I subscribe to all levels and have a couple other regular bags with different profiles. Lately I have been getting duplicates under my main profile like the Nomad Berlin eyeshadow palette and the Dr. Brandt I believe I got last month in my Plus bag with the same account, and I also believe I bought it in a Boxy sale the month before that, lol. This month I got the 4 piece Naked Cosmetics loose pigments Summer 2019 just like the Nomad palette was Summer 2019. I think I may skip next month due to product overload…I just always have FOMO and say I’ll just add to my box of unopened items that someone else would use more than I would and don’t end up skipping! I may need help, lol!

I’d be interested to know how much variation there really is between bags. Mine only has four items different from yours! (Instead of the Huda, Kiss & Smink, the Balm, and MORPHE, I got the DC Sweater Weather, Ciate lip oil, Huda trophy wife lip contour, and Yensa cleansing oil). I wonder if the bulk of items are going to everyone!

I would really imagine ipsy will be discontinuing Ultimate soon, it really seems like it’s a challenge for them to get subscribers items they haven’t received before, especially when some of us subscribe to multiple levels. I think my one month trying out Ultimate was a fun experience, but I don’t know that I’ll do it again!

I was worried I’d get the green Huda as I already have it but ended up getting the green Viseart instead lol…at least its a new product to me xD Also, got the Dr. Brandt again after receiving it in last months Plus. Waiting to hear back from ipsycare. stinky repeats

That’s it! Third Strike! They are out! I just cancelled all my Ipsy bags. In my Ultimate, I got 2 eyeshadow palettes, one perfume, one mascara, and a highlighter: all things I have on “rarely.” And the remaining items aren’t all that great, either. I am done giving them my money when they never respond to me in customer service and continue to send things I don’t want. It’s not worth my money or energy.

I really like that Viseart palette and it looks like it was a good month overall. I cancelled though – it’s just a whole lot of product.

Dangit wish the green palette was in plus. I saw it as an add on but said I wouldn’t spend any more this month lol
