FabKids (little sister brand to Fabletics and JustFab) is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the FabKids quiz for your child (for multiple children you can add a kid) to note their size and style preferences.
- Each month, FabKids releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your child's preferences which you can view in their personalized FabShop.
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

When you sign up they will ask you a few questions about your child: their name, age, clothing size, favorite weekend activity, and which outfit you prefer out of a few options. This helps to personalize your child's FabShop each month. If you have multiple kids you are shopping for, there is an option to add a kid.

FabKids Dino 3D Slip-On Sneaker, Size 8 - Retail Value $32.00, VIP Cost $24.95
This month they had a great sale on shoes and since that's something I always like to be prepared with, I opted to pick out some cute styles for my youngest son and my daughter. We have tried their slip-on sneakers with my older son many times and they tend to last. They slip on easily and are comfortable enough to run around in. I let my younger son pick these fun sneakers that I knew he would enjoy since he outgrew a similar pair he had in the fall. They were having a great shoe sale and I had a 40% off coupon so these ended up costing $12.00.

They are a little big on him, but he was still able to walk around and run in them which means they are perfectly sized since it will probably be another month before we are really putting these to good use!

Chambray Double Knot Sandal, Size 2 - Retail Value $26.00, VIP Cost $22.95
My daughter loves a good sandal and both of us thought these were just the cutest when we saw them! I love the cute chambray knot and that the light brown straps will allow these to be worn with pretty much anything. We have had a few pairs of their sandals and she really puts them to the test. She wears them outside for playing in and they hold up pretty well. They are definitely not a sandal that she can pass along to her cousin (which we do with most sneakers), but they will last us the whole season (as long as she doesn't grow!). We ended up paying $13.77 for these.

The Verdict: This month FabKids released their collection a bit late so I didn't see any great clothing options, but when I saw they had a shoe sale, I knew we'd be able to take advantage of it for some great Spring styles. The kids were happy with their shoes and so am I since we are familiar with the quality and I know these will last us for as long as they still fit their feet! With the sale prices and 40% off, we paid $35.56 which includes shipping. If I wanted to be a super-savvy shopper I would have tried to hit their free shipping threshold, but this month we just needed a few things. If we don't take into account the shipping, we saved $32.23 off the retail price and $22.13 off the VIP price, not including shipping.

Value Breakdown: The total retail price for the shoes is $58, but the VIP total is $47.90. That’s a VIP savings of about 17%, but since I only paid $35.56, I saved 39% off retail.
