FabKids (little sister brand to Fabletics and JustFab) is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store or sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the FabKids quiz for your child (for multiple children you can add a kid) to note their size and style preferences.
- Each month, FabKids releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your child's preferences which you can view in their personalized FabShop.
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.
FYI, COVID-19 Update: Stay up to date on shipping delays, updated return policies, and more right here.

FabKids May 2021 Review
When you sign up they will ask you a few questions about your child: their name, age, clothing size, favorite weekend activity, and which outfit you prefer out of a few options. This helps to personalize your child's FabShop each month. If you have multiple kids you are shopping for, there is an option to add a kid.
This month we received a sample bandage in our pack.
FabKids Mermaid Scale Print Sandal, Size 3 - Retail Value $32.00, VIP Cost $24.95
I do not know what to do about this girl and her feet! They grow so very fast! I already purchased a pair of sandals for her for this year and thought they would last the season, but somehow she has already outgrown them so I figured we'd try again. These fit her pretty well, but she actually felt like they were a little tight on her so I've already sent these back for an exchange, which was super easy to do. I just had to print the label and pop it in the mailbox and once USPS receives it, they mail out your exchange for you. These sandals are nice and substantial with double straps at the front and another strap around the ankle, which is great for a young girl like my daughter who loves to run around in them. While they were a bit small, they were still comfortable and I think the next size up will be just perfect for her wider feet. The mermaid scales design is really cute and fun, especially with the addition of the sparkly glitter, but I still think these are somewhat subtle since you don't notice the design too much until you get up close. She is happy with them and I am just hoping she doesn't outgrow them before fall!
Here is a closer look at them on her. There's a little room to grow, but with her wide feet, the straps were just a bit too tight for her.
Unicone Cross Back One Piece Swimsuit, Size M (8) - Retail Value $36.00, VIP Cost $29.95
Liv needed a swimsuit and this one seemed like a cute option with the cute sequin unicorn in an ice cream cone on the front. We have never tried their swimsuits before, so I wanted to check it out and see the quality. It seems to be a nice swimsuit with an extra layer inside and pretty basic material for the main part of the suit. Liv thought it was comfortable and as long as it holds up to her swimming in it this summer, I think it was a decent buy! My only concern with any swimsuit is really one that you never find out until it's too late, which is if it pills and fades at the rear. Unfortunately, I won't be able to gauge this until the end of swimsuit season since our beach trips aren't until later in the summer, but at least then I'll know whether it was worth paying just a tad more for it than I would at other retailers.
It fits her well and provides coverage where we need it to! While it is gapping in that last photo, it was just the way she was standing (I asked her to stand up straight. lol).
The Verdict: While we have to exchange the shoes for a more comfortable fit, overall I am happy with the items we chose from FabKids this month. I wouldn't say that I necessarily got a great deal, but I think both items are comparable in price to what I could find at other retailers, although I would probably be able to wait for a sale to score them a little cheaper. In the end, I paid $56.80 with taxes and shipping for these. We are already fans of their shoes and the way they hold up over time, so I hope that the swimsuit will last the entire season and doesn't pill at the back!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, these items are all still available.
Value Breakdown: The total retail price for these items is $68.00, but the VIP total is $54.90. That’s a VIP savings of about 20%.
