FabKids (little sister brand to Fabletics and JustFab) is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store or sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the FabKids quiz for your child (for multiple children you can add a kid) to note their size and style preferences.
- Each month, FabKids releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your child's preferences which you can view in their personalized FabShop.
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

When you sign up they will ask you a few questions about your child: their name, age, clothing size, favorite weekend activity, and which outfit you prefer out of a few options. This helps to personalize your child's FabShop each month. If you have multiple kids you are shopping for, there is an option to add a kid.

My daughter loved everything about this outfit when she helped pick it out. She was really excited about the lace detail on the shorts and the pretty florals and puffed sleeves of the top. It almost looks a little bit short on her, but I think it's just the way the bottom flares out because it is definitely still providing coverage. The florals were a bit brighter than I expected in person, but they are still pretty, and overall, this makes such a cute summer outfit!

Here is a closer look at the shorts. I love the cute lace detail, as does my daughter and the fact that they have an adjustable waistband means we can get a perfect fit for her, too! We saved $11.95 by purchasing this as an outfit instead of as separate pieces.

FabKids Butterfly Bike Short, Size M (8) - Retail Value $18, VIP Cost $12.95
My daughter had to have these when she saw them. She loved the fun and beautiful butterflies on these shorts and I think the colors are really pretty and perfect for summer. These are a little baggy on her, but I think that once we wash them they will fit her nicely as do all of the shorts we've purchased here. They are comfortable and perfect for heavy play, which is definitely what she uses them for (thank goodness for stain remover spray!).
The Verdict: My daughter loves her choices from FabKids this month and already has them packed up for our upcoming beach trip! The lace denim shorts are so cute and will be great with so many different tops while the bike shorts are perfect for play and will get plenty of use. I love how unique the smocked top is and it's such a fun, cute style, too!
