FabKids (little sister brand to Fabletics and JustFab) is a monthly clothing subscription for boys and girls that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store or sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the FabKids quiz for your child (for multiple children you can add a kid) to note their size and style preferences.
- Each month, FabKids releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your child's preferences which you can view in their personalized FabShop.
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

First Impressions
Unlike most subscription boxes, this is one where I get to choose exactly what I want each month, but of course, there are always some surprises in the quality. This month, they were all pleasant though as the jacket I had chosen for my son was much more substantial than I expected and he was very excited about the shirt and shoes I had picked out for him as well!

There are a few things I was looking for this month when it came to getting some new shoes for my son and this classic style in a nice neutral gray seemed to check all the boxes! The shoes are so simple that they can be worn both casually or with a nicer outfit if he needs to dress to impress, and they have velcro straps making them easy for him to put on by himself. As for the size, they are a little big, but there is plenty of room to grow and he was able to walk around in them comfortably. Their shoes definitely tend to last us for a while so I'm hopeful these will also make it as hand-me-downs for his younger brother one day!

This dino pocket tee was too cute to resist! The colors are great and the pocket adds another element of cuteness that I love! He is really more of a size 5/6, but I decided to size up for longer wear. It's a little long on him, but I think it seems to fit him well! He was a big fan of the shirt, too!
FabKids Hooded Denim Jacket, Size S (6/7) - Retail Value $42, VIP Cost $34.95

This jacket is actually way more substantial than I was thinking it would be which was a pleasant surprise! The denim part is nice and stretchy, and I think it will actually be a pretty warm coat, perfect for cooler fall days. Again, I chose to size up, so it is definitely a little big on him, but after trying it on, he didn't want to take it off, so I know it is still comfortable enough for him to wear! I love that it has a hood, too, and again, the denim and gray are so neutral that this can be paired with pretty much anything. It's the perfect staple piece for layering! This was a bit of a splurge, but this should take him right into spring as well and will be another hand-me-down for his younger brother!
