ESPA Refining Skin Polish - 15ml - Valued at $11.81

Smooth and airbrush the appearance of your skin with the Refining Skin Polish from ESPA. Infused with a host of beneficial ingredients, the face scrub is charged with a nourishing formula to help comfort the skin during the exfoliation process.

This skin polish promises to act as an ultra-fine exfoliator that works to draw impurities from pores, buffing away at the top layer of dead skin cells, so what's left is a silky-smooth finish at the surface. This is something that particularly excites me, as my skin isn't always grabbing makeup the way I would like... I'm very curious to see if this will address my skin at its foundation, and lay an optimal canvas to work with.

One of the ingredients in this formula that calls out to me is spherical diatomaceous earth; I'm familiar with this ultra-fine food-grade mineral in a way you might not expect. Diatomaceous earth is very smooth to the touch, but also a common household miracle to anyone that has had to deal with a moth or two in their home. For humans, it is safe, but for insects, it's like tiny blades that dehydrate the exoskeleton. Based on this, I can see where this might be great for exfoliation, but I'm inclined to pay special attention to the moisturizing routine that follows.

Sachajuan Volume Cream - 125ml - Valued at $31.80

Replenish your tresses with the transforming powers of the Sachajuan Volume Styling Cream. The fast-absorbing cream utilizes Ocean Silk Technology to drench your locks in moisture, minimizing the look of split ends and flyaways.

This is said to be ideal for people that are prone to flat, tired-looking hair, as the nourishing ingredients within work to promote a more volumized aesthetic. Personally, I have very thick hair, but it does tend to fall flat without intervention. Split ends and flyaways - yep, I've got those too. I'm very eager to give this one a try, as I'm still on the hunt for a product that can address these issues without giving off the appearance of just plain greasy.

Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil - 5ml - Valued at $9.70

Infuse your skin with the nourishing properties of Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil, a lightweight oil complex that conditions, hydrates and smoothens the complexion. Formulated with 9 essential oils, this will leave your skin feeling bright and refreshed.

This facial oil is formulated with nine essential oils (palma rose, orange, mint, vanilla, germanium, chamomile, lemon, rose, and lavender), plus five plant oils (grape seed, apricot, almond, olive, and sunflower). It took me a long time to come around to the idea of facial oil, and I say this as someone whose skin borders on dry. You hear oil and you just think... breakouts. Time has told me, however, to fear not. The big stand out here to me is grape seed, which has been linked with increased cell turnover and collagen. I can't speak to that from a scientific perspective, but I've personally seen greater success for treating my uneven skin tone with products that incorporated grape seed extract, so I'm excited to give this a try.

Starskin DREAMKISS™ Plumping and Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Lip Mask - Valued at $6.20

Deliver your lips other worldly hydration with the intensely nourishing properties of the Starskin DREAMKISS™ Plumping and Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Lip Mask. Formulated with naturally fermented, Vitamin-rich Coconut extract.

This lip mask is intended to be worn for 10-15 minutes, followed by gently massaging the serum into the skin until fully absorbed. The directions even advise that you can use it as a primer before applying lipstick or gloss. I'm not quite sure how I'd go about bottling that up for later use, but I can tell you that my lips could use some TLC after a long, cold winter, and this mask might be the perfect little patch for a brief moment of quiet (well, from me, anyway).

Luvia 308 Detail Shader Brush - Valued at $14.20

The ultra-soft synthetic bristles are cut in a dense, paddle-shaped brush head to offer the ultimate precision with smooth, gentle application.

This exact brush by Luvia doesn't appear to be available as a standalone brush anywhere but this box, but the size and shape looks like just the sort of tool I enjoy hoarding in my collection... I can never get enough of these brushes in my eye makeup routine.

Wet n Wild Lipstick Sandstorm - Valued at $5.40

This 4-hour, long-wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte cream finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.

I can't help but be taken back to my childhood of the '90s whenever I see Wet n Wild. I distinctly recall being stubbornly attached to my first-ever lipstick, a BRIGHT pink shade of WnW that I'd picked up at my local pharmacy. I look forward to putting this four-hour claim to the test, as it's my life's mission to find a lip color that doesn't fade away in 30 minutes. Maybe I'll give the lip mask a try first before I dive into this stick of nostalgia... I wonder how the 30-something version of myself will fare with Wet n Wild.
