Boxwalla always has the prettiest boxes. I hang on to them and use them for my art supplies. They are hefty and handmade, and all-around wonderful!
This month, the box theme is From Where the Tulips Bloom. And inside, there are two products from tulip-centric brand Bloomeffects.

The presentation of this beautiful bottle is top notch! It feels luxe from the moment you touch it. Nestled inside of the cushioned box is a dark beauty concoction designed to give you an overnight glow and protect your skin from the long-term aging signs we are all trying to avoid. Powered by both granactive retinoid and Bakuchiol, this dark purple potion (the color comes from black tulip petals!) manages to provide overnight brightening without being irritating.
I am prone to redness and this formula didn't bother me at all. There are also other wonderful ingredients like cica, plant stem cells, and loads of antioxidants, this is a wonderful option for anyone who has previously found traditional retinol too irritating or anyone who just wants to add a little glow to their mornings. Just a few drops before your nightly moisturizer is all you need. And no worries about that gorgeous dark shade transferring to your face!
Tulip Dew Sunscreen Serum 100% Mineral Broad Spectrum Spf 50, 55 mL - Retail Value $65

Though this sunscreen has quite a springy vibe, we all know sun protection is a year-round necessity! And I am so happy that SPF formulas have come a long long way from those chalky, greasy, and smelly formulas of the past. In fact, there are so many different options now. This is a thinner and lighter formula wish a beige tint. I was worried it would show up on my face, but the color disappears entirely as you rub it into your skin. Ideally, you shake it more thoroughly than I did for the images above. I got a little excited to get it open and didn't do it justice. The finish is dewy and natural, giving a soft glow that I found really pretty, with or without any makeup on top. In addition to SPF50 (from zinc oxide), this formula is boosted with loads of antioxidants, tulip bulb extracts, and moisturizers. This is a formula that is easy to love!
Verdict
This Boxwalla Beauty box had a total value of $184, which is pretty great for a $49.95 box! Even though this box had a very strong tulip theme, it felt incredibly appropriate for fall. Who doesn't want a glow boost as the air gets drier and our faces get duller? Even better, it also included a sunscreen that will protect your glowy skin from the winter sun.
