This month's bag pattern is back to the basics with a lovely pastel pattern.  So Susan sends the same style bag every month; they are easy to wipe clean, and it is easy to fit a day's look inside for easy-peasy, portable access.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Cosmic Light Pigments in Pulsar - Retail Value $18.00

Although I typically prefer using a palette with a few workable and blendable colors, sometimes I find single shadows or loose pigments sometimes find their way into my heart. This metallic denim blue is a show-stopper. It went on seamlessly and blended out beautifully on my lids.

Its texture was so easy to work with, so wearing this shade, even in its loose pigment format (which can be messy and somewhat of a pain to harness), was a treat.

So Susan Cosmetics Lip Dome in Mango - Retail Value $18.00

This plumping balm is beautifully pigmented! I could go on and on about how it gracefully smoothed over my lip lines and had a flattering satin finish, but you will just have to check out the pic below and see for yourself! After a few hours of wear, I noticed that this color left a natural-looking stain on my lips, which makes this formula a true winner for me; I always go for lip products that don't require frequent touch-ups.

I was surprised that this highlight and contour palette didn't have any matte shades. The range of colors goes from pinks to creams to golds, but the glazed or frosty finish was repeated within each shade. I often go for a more subtle highlight, but when I am feeling extra, I can use a palette like this to beam me up to the heavens. I used this in my eye look below and patted a champagne color on my cheekbones.

So Susan Cosmetics Hera Mist Fortifying Hair & Scalp Spray - Retail Value $42.00

Hera Mist has a lovely fragrance that reminds me of essential oils, but $42 for a small bottle of spray is bananas. I love it when I get such a high-priced item inside a subscription box, but I always hope deep down that I don't totally fall in love with it. Argon oil helps to keep frizz at bay while menthol soothes the scalp.

Verdict

This month's So Susan Color Curate had a great range of products. I really enjoyed receiving a hair product this month as well as all of the colorful cosmetics. My favorite item in this month's bag is definitely the So Susan Lip Dome. I will definitely be using this daily; it is perfect for on the go! This month's bag's retail value comes to $112; you're getting four products for $20.95, a fabulous deal!
