I was actually quite happy to be able to choose a box from SprezzaBox’s store. It was just like any other month, I suppose, but with more options. I choose Dangerfield for the bowtie and glasses. The latter is OK, but I’m picking the bowtie as my favorite item, because I’m excited to try something new. I really liked the long stick lapel pin. The square and socks were nice as well, but not over exciting. Overall, a very solid box. Again, I was pleased to have the opportunity to sort of go back through SprezzaBox’s catalog. However, I hope they have new options again starting in May.

After going out of my comfort zone last month, I chose this SprezzaBox to be more traditional. I felt like the formal items would be most appropriate for a funeral or another kind of serious event. The tie, square, and socks would be easy to put together with many suits. The items fit the “Blacked Out” title well. I will never turn down a beanie and this one was great. However, it did seem a little out of place. They should have at least made it black. Of all the items, the beanie will get the most use, but I’m going to pick the tie as my favorite item. I’m just really pleased to have a no-nonsense, jet black tie for the occasion I need one. A traditional blue or black tie should probably be the first one a man buys and yet I’ve waited this long to own one. So I’m happy to finally check that box. The collar stay situation was disappointing, but understandable. I do think subscribers should receive some sort of replacement item, even if it’s just another set of stays. Despite the issue, this box was a success for me.

I choose this SprezzaBox specifically because it was a little out of my comfort zone. I don’t really own anything floral or lavender. So I wanted to expand my horizons a little. I was pleasantly surprised with everything, but I liked the pocket square the most. Maybe because I’m a sucker for dark blue. Everything in the box was a hit for me. So I was happy I got to choose it. Getting to choose your box out of six options is nice, because you get something that speaks to you and you get to avoid boxes that would be a waste of money for you. I hope SprezzaBox is able to keep up with the new boxes. So far I’ve been very pleased with the options. Now I’m just waiting for a reason to dress up.
