My Fashion Crate Reviews

This box from My Fashion Crate seemed like it was pretty promising, but after trying all of the items, there are just too many little things that kept this from being a great box. First of all, the dress and the sizing issue was a big disappointment, then there was the finicky zipper on the purse, which I know will keep it from being the quick and easy bag to carry around like it should be. I’m also kind of disappointed that there were only 5 items in this box instead of the 6 that the other boxes have had. While normally that wouldn’t be a huge deal if they were all big-ticket items, instead the smaller items felt more like they should have been bonus items in a box that costs this much. Don’t get me wrong, I love that they included items from a small shop, but value-wise, they didn’t add as much to this curation for me. This box costs $92.95 ($85 + $7.95) and the total retail value using a mix of listed and retail values came to $217.66 which sounds great, but I just wish I could get more use out of these items!

I thought that My Fashion Crate did a nice job of highlighting some talented artisans with a focus on unique fashions and then balanced it out with brands that were somewhat familiar. The items I loved most in this box were the half-moon bag and the scrunchie, but really it had a nice somewhat cohesive theme throughout. Had the sweater been my size, I’m sure it would have been a great top to throw on with jeans for a comfortable but still stylish outfit. The mask has proved useful, the lotion is nice and while I love the necklace style, the way it gets tangled up is probably going to keep me from wearing it as often as I’d like to. Overall, the total retail value of our items (using a mix of listed and found retail values) comes to $206, which sounds pretty good! So did I enjoy the items in this box? Yes. Did I feel like this was a $92.95 ($85 + $7.95)? Not quite. Objectively, the value was there and this was certainly a step-up from the fall box, but still not quite on par with their summer box. I guess we will have to see what spring brings! What do you think?
